Vinny came by and sat down with us in the kitchen to listen to what we wanted to accomplish.  He came back with a very detailed estimate that broke the job down into five phases, each priced out separately. The estimate explained various items that we would need to purchase separately, including tiles for the kitchen, appliances, light fixtures.  We agreed to undertake the full project and were provided a start date two month's later (beginning in March) and also a list of all the preferred suppliers that Old World works closely with (marble, tile, paint) for us to begin finalizing our selection of materials.  Right on schedule, the first phase of the project was the kitchen, with cabinets removed, flooring ripped out and ceiling replaced.  Next up was carpet removal and floor refinishing..In order to continue living in the house this had to be done in three separate stages:  hallways, followed by dining room & bedroom #1 and finally, living room & master bedroom.  This necessitated the moving of every piece of furniture on the first floor at one point or another. If we had to do this again, it might have been worthwhile moving to a hotel for a few days - but then the cats.... With the floors finished and looking beautiful (unbelievable attention to detail by his crew) and our dream kitchen back together, the final stages of painting and air conditioner replacement were a breeze. We couldn't be more pleased with the final results.
A few observations.  Vinny and Old World command tremendous respect among the tradesmen and subcontractors he brings to a project. He literally has the best of the best and they all realize it and go out of their way to please not only the customer but Vinny as well. Old World operates under the principle that the customer is always right.  We made numerous modifications and course corrections during our project and each was dealt with a "can do" no problem response.
Finally, we've had several immediate needs arise - broken radiator pipe, leaking ceiling, cabinet off its hinges, - where Old World came to the rescue for us.  We realize we now have a home repair emergency "insurance policy" with Old World Quality that is very comforting indeed!

We had very specific requirement which required a more sophisticated than the standard level of craftsmanship. Vinny delivered a end result that my wife and I were both very pleased with.. Pricing relative to the level of work we expected was quite fair and in fact less expensive than several quotes we got from "production" type contractors. More importantly all the work and flashing details were done correctly and will provide us with an outcome that adds value to our home while maintain the architectural details we wanted to preserve.
My only critique is that given the size of our job relative to Vinny's typical work the time we had to wait for it to all get completed was longer that we would have linked and there were a few snags along the way with scheduling, availability etc.. but to Vinny's credit he was upfront before signing that we would have to wait a while and patient given his work load and our expectations.
In the end Old World Quality delivered to our expectations at a great value.

It went very well. Arrived on time, cleaned up. completed on time. No problems

He is currently in the middle of the projects. Everything is going well and everyone shows up on time. So far, everything looks beautiful. He is extremely nice and he does quality work on the home.
