Excellent! They found that my central AC water output was blocked. My dehumidifier had been on overdrive for 2 years, now it hardly runs I'd had Homeserve for years. Similar price but wow, let this AC problem go for years. Finally dropped them when I stayed home from work and they cancelled an appointment with no notice, just didn't show up

Scheduled appt. told receptionist boiler shut down.she told me check emergency wall switch which was in on position. Tech arrives tells me no power to boiler asked if i checked fuse box. I did all fuses appeared to be ok. Long story short bad fuse.changed fuse all systems go.Tech is at my house for less than 20 min. He uses my fuse then writes me a bill for $ 165.00, I explain i have the Gold service contract with them, he says not covered and this is service fee.i speak with owner of company to no avail, mind you this is plumber who did my initial gas boiler conversion, who tells you any problems call us and when you do they hit you with an excessive service charge,at no time did they inform me of the excessive amount for vist .The gold service contract i paid $265.00 for is a waste of money, anyone you speak with in office sounds like their doing you a favor by speaking with you.They want loyal customers but offer no loyalty to their customers.If they needed to charge a service fee for 20 min vist it should have been a more reasonable amount.I cannot recomend this plumber.I have learned their are plenty of other plumbers in my area who offer much more reasonable rates for service contracts and who appreciate their customers loyalty and wouldent consider ripping off someone the way Gayson plumbing did to me.Next step file complaint with consumer affairs and BBB.

"We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with our service. The service contract you agreed on states that any electrical power failure including blown fuses is not included in the plan. It also states that any work performed outside the service plan is billed at the current rates for a service call. For this reason, we try to troubleshoot with customers over the phone beforehand in hopes to avoid these types of circumstances. We would like the opportunity to discuss this issue further with you. The job itself went well. Until the next day when there was a moderate smell of gas though out the house. Turns out one of the guys did not tighten the gas meter back on correctly. They responded fast and solved the issue without futher problem. Was also an issue with the billing but they corrected the problem to my satisfaction. Jack himself is a great great guy who is very informative. He takes time to explain things. This company came recommend to me from 2 family members that used them before. Despite the small issues that occurred, in the end all is well and i will use them again

This was a 2 day job to remove the old oil boiler and oil tanks, then build the new gas steam boiler and install the hot water heater. They handled the village and county permits, National Grid rebates, and made the whole process easy. Before the job, Jack explained the process, answered all our questions, and submitted an accurate estimate. The crew arrived on time and worked professionally to finish this complex job in a small space. They were neat and polite. Note, the cost was about $9,000 after rebates.

I would like to compliment your plumbing team for completing a difficult removal and installation of a new gas burner and water tank. Jose, Eugene Marcos and Sean worked diligently to complete the job in one day. The men were polite and they worked hard to minimize the cleanup in my home. I am very pleased with the job that they did. Everything regarding maintaining the system was carefully explained to me.

Unfortunately, I dropped a glass (twice) in my bathroom sink and cracked the undermount sink. Also, the drain stopper had not worked for quite some time. We arranged to have sink and stopper mechanism replaced. This is not the first time we have used Gayson for general plumbing repairs, and we have always been quite pleased with their services. For the bathroom job, Jason and his helper stopped in to measure. Then, they sent their carpenter/tile guy John to take off the old sink and mount the new one. He showed up exactly on time as Laurie (the scheduler--a pleasure to work with) promised. He worked hard to avoid having to remove the counter top and still mount the sink securely with clamps. It worked. He carefully cleaned up after his work and left the room in cleaner condition then he found it! He communicated clearly, but didn't waste a lot of time with chitchat. Professional, pleasant, straightforward. The next day, Jim, another plumber, came by, again, at the time promised, and worked diligently to hook up the sink and fix the faucet drain stopper. Again, pleasant, straightforward demeanor. Importantly, we called them back to adjust the stopper in the sink to allow for greater water flow. They didn't hesitate, came the morning after I called, and fixed it without any hesitation. We like their approach to the work and their customer service.

They are good. The technician, who came out to put in the thermostat, seemed nice. After he put in the thermostat, I have heat in the upstairs. He explained what he did. He didn't spend a lot of time; he got the work done quickly. He was friendly. The quality of work he did was very good work. My mother has been using them for many years and they are local. I went to school with the younger brother of the girl who owns this company.

To a professional who supposedly does this for a living it should take no more than an hour, however, this guy that came spent almost an hour reading the instructions that came with the converter kit (and I'm not exaggerating the time). We weren't aware that we were being charged by the minute since we were quoted a flat fee and, therefore, didn't say anything. To make the long story short, the guy did finish the job and everything seems to work, but at the end instead of the $150 quoted he gave me a bill for $400. When I asked him why it is so he said that the other guy at the office does this all the time - he quotes one thing and it always turns out to be something else. What????? What kind of a business does that????? We called and complained to the office for the misleading information but that didn't do a thing. Obviously we will never use them again.

In one word - horrible. Everything appeared to be working ok, but after 3-4 months, I noticed the floor of the sink cabinet was damp and a ceiling tile in the basement had evidence of water damage. So I put a small bowl underneath the sink drain to try to capture whatever was leaking. I removed the ceiling tile from the basement and saw the leak came from the toilet. After observing the problem for a week, I found out that the sink leaks when hot water is poured down the drain. Haven't been able to determine from where exactly though. My workaround is to keep the small bowl under the sink until I get a plumber in to check out the problem. As for the toilet, the leak is from where the new PVC pipe (that Gayson installed) meets the old waste pipe in the basement. I've stopped using that toilet and will have a plumber check it out also. To wrap it up, I will never use Jack Gayson plumbing and strongly discourage anyone from trying them!
