Wow! Liars. Please stay far away from this company, far-far away. They are completely dishonest, unresponsive and down right crooked, scam artists. If you choose to sign a contract with these people please rest assured you will be scammed as well. I feel like an idiot even entering into the breached contract. Don't be an idiot, like I was. Got here around 10:30 AM. Did some preliminary work. Left because they did not have some needed materials. Said they would be back in an hour and a half or so. Didn’t return till the end of the day, but finished and did a good job.

On time, good price, good job. Very understanding when we had to reschedule at the last minute.

Work was A+. Sealed my driveway with spray, very neat and quality work. Employees friendly and the price was very reasonable. Would have them do work again.

Tom Smith and his crew did an excellent job in paving the driveway. They arrived right on time at 8am and did a great job from start to finish at 5:00. Everyone knew exactly what to do and the job got done in 1 day!! I had 3,000 sqft replaced. It was amazing to watch everyone doing their job. They really had a system in place and the equipment really kept things moving along. Everyone was so nice and they worked all day long. I would highly recommend them. Price was right, great company...great job...great work!!

Tom and his crew re-paved my fairly steep driveway earlier this month. They did an excellent job and I would gladly recommend JW to anyone in the Hudson Valley. The crew worked diligently and took pride in making sure I had a great finished product. This type of project is a fairly large expense, so you want to choose companies carefully. Glad to know that I made the right choice.

Outstanding job. Tom Smith and his crew Cesar, Charlie,Al, Jimmy, George, Alex, Marcos and Larry were very professional. They arrived on time, worked all day even through lunch and did an excellent job. They removed old driveway material, re-graded and finished job with item 4 and asphalt. They provided a free estimate ( I got several and theirs was the best), a signed contract and a 5 year warranty. Even though the job was more difficult than they planned due to the thickness of the existing driveway, they honored the contract. I would highly recommend them. They have been in business for over 50 years and are an third generation family run business.

Great job! Very professional team and the owner, Tom Smith was on site to see that things went well, very friendly, Tom "held my hand" through then process. They corrected a grading problem that had plagued me for years. Would definitely recommend.

MAJOR DRAINAGE problem discovered when the old asphalt was removed, but they addressed it and provided a lasting solution. Everything went smoothly despite weather problems. A pleasure to work with. No shortcuts, they did it RIGHT. Very happy with these guys. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great! Mother Nature was un-cooperative, but once she settled down, all went as expected!

The entire job went very smoothly. The crew arrived about 20 minutes early and was well organized and very efficient throughout. There were about 8 people in the crew and everyone seemed to know what they were to do and it all went quite well. I was especially impressed that everyone seemed very detail oriented making sure that everything was done with precision. One small example was after blowing dirt off the driveway before paving, the worker went over and blew dirt off cars that were parked on the street nearby. They checked with me on several occasions to make sure it would be done exactly as I wanted. Start to finish was about 5 hours for a fairly good sized driveway, and the results look great. Cleanup was excellent and the surrounding area showed little evidence a driveway job had just been done after they left.

I was very impressed by this company. I had several paving companies come and quote my job with JW Smith coming last. Tom, the man in charge of my job, came to my house at the appointed time and offered me a quote. Having seen the good reviews on Angie's List, I expected a reasonable price but was surprised to see that his quote was the lowest of those I'd gotten. I accepted his quote and was emailed the certificates of insurance I requested. The previous paving job that put down the driveway I was now having removed failed prematurely because they had used much less asphalt than they should have. When I mentioned this to Tom and asked how I'd know how much he was putting down, he invited me to watch and see exactly what he was doing. I did. Tom and his crew arrived just when he said they would and began to rip out my old driveway. The next morning, they came back and finished the removal process and set up to start the paving process which lasted all the rest of the day. The job went smoothly and the depth of asphalt was just as Tom had promised. In addition, the 100 foot section of the driveway that led to the road was paved about 6" wider than it had been before. It looked like a great job. There was heavy rain the day after the paving and I noticed that water was running off the driveway near one of my garage doors into the garage. Seeing that, I took a photo or two with my cellphone and called Tom's cellphone about 6pm and left a message. He called back within 20 minutes and asked me to email him the photos, which I did. The next day, I received an email telling me that he had received the photos and that he would deal with the problem. They came late last week to address the water problem and solved it completely. Justin, Tom's brother, and his crew handled the issue. He used my garden hose to determine where the water was going and then added asphalt to make the water go where he wanted it to. After each adjustment, he ran the hose again and saw the results of what he did and added a bit more here and there to ensure that there would be no further issue. The garage is now dry and, unless you know where to look, it's nearly impossible to see the extra asphalt that Justin added. He did a great job and the driveway looks great. At the end of the job, Tom gave me the invoice and I paid him. The final amount out of my pocket was actually about $90 less than his original quote. To add credibility to this review, I wish I had a little negative thing to say about Tom, Justin and JW Paving but I don't! It all went well, I feel I was treated very respectfully and the price was very fair. Get estimates from other places and have JW Smith come by last. I think you'll be impressed.

They were here on time 8'am were very professional about everything they did for me explained what they were doing and did a great job very happy.

The crews work was excellent and neat. Everything went as scheduled. Driveway was repaved as specified including an area that needed some extra work. The driveway now looks terrific.

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. Great communication, friendliness and professionalism from getting the estimate to scheduling the project. Tom & his crew executed the job exactly as we discussed. The results look fantastic - exceeded our expectations and didn't break the bank. Price seemed very fair - these are definitely the guys for the job!!
