"Mr. & Mrs. [Member name], I’m genuinely sorry that you were not satisfied with my work in December 2014. I’ve always taken great pride in my work and have never received negative feedback. I still defend the work that was done at your home and want to express again that I made all possible efforts to accommodate your requests. I’m sorry that you were still not satisfied. You had called me to move your existing washer and dryer units into a closet and then stack them. I informed you (before doing any work) that not only was the closet too small to accommodate the washer and dryer, but that the units (washer and dryer) might not have been designed to be stacked. I then clearly communicated to you the potential issues that could arise from doing this job (humidity problems from the gas dryer being in a small room), but you wanted me to proceed with the job anyway. I even recommended that you have an exhaust fan installed inside the closet to alleviate any potential humidity from the gas dryer. After informing you of all of this, you still wanted me to proceed with the work after you had a contractor widen the closet to better accommodate the size of the washer and dryer. The contractor also agreed that the closet was too small and he (the contractor) was also unsure if the washer and dryer could be stacked, but you still wanted me to attempt the job anyway, so I did. When you called me back a few days later to come check the dryer venting connection after you were experiencing issues with the high humidity in the tight closet space, I came back immediately and was more than happy to do so to make sure everything was connected properly, which it was. I reiterated the original issues of the closet being too small and the uncertainty about the units not being designed to be stacked, and I again suggested that you have an exhaust fan installed. You agreed about the vent fan, and so I left your home under the impression that you were going to proceed with the exhaust fan installation. You then called me over 8 months later and expressed your concern about the high humidity inside the closet. I was a little confused and taken aback by your call, I thought we had exhausted this discussion already, but I again explained the need to have a vent fan installed by an electrician, which is a job that I cannot do since I’m not licensed in that field. I’m sorry if your desire was to have me install a vent fan, but I do not do work in fields that I’m not licensed in. I really made all possible efforts to rectify the problem as expediently as possible, I’m sorry that you were still not satisfied. I really take great pride and integrity in all of my work. I am always up-front and honest with all of my customers, which is why I have the reputation that I do. Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss anything further. Thank you."
