They came and repaired it and when it didn't work they came promptly and fixed it again the same day. I was satisfied with their work.

This was the first time using Angie's List since I became a member. I was pleased they were in the same town I lived in. Also, others had given J and S Appliance good reviews.
You call them up to request the service. Then the next day, you call at 9am and J and S Appliance will tell you when the technician will be at your home within a two hour window.
The technician was on time. The problem was diagnosed quickly but required a part to be ordered. I was given a quote on how much the replacement part and labor would cost. When the part arrived, J and S Appliance returned and completed the work.
The best part... they accept major credit cards. Many repair places take cash or checks. Appreciate their flexible payment options.

I CALLED 8AM THE DRYER WAS FIXED BY 11:30. The tech was very nice and professional. I would use this company again. they were great.

Our refrigerator's ice maker jammed causing the unit's water supply valve to remain open. The net result was a continuous flow of water from the supply line passing through the ice maker and onto the kitchen floor. This was caused by ice cubes from the ice maker jamming in the plastic shroud that covered the unit.
Jand S showed up on time and the service person was polite. Their charge for a service call was $70.00. The gentlemen wanted to replace the ice maker to the tune of an additional $350.00. That might have been okay if the ice maker wasn't making ice - it was. The problem was that after the ice was being discharged into the bin, the ice was sticking in the plastic shroud on top of the ice maker. The serviceman wanted to scavenge the shroud where the ice was sticking from the old unit and use it on the new ice maker.
When I told him that it seemed the problem might be with the shroud itself, he agreed but said he couldn't do anything about that. So for $420.00, I would have potentially been left with an ice making system that could have continuously dumped water onto my kitchen floor.

No details. I knew the electronic control panel was failing. The service man came to diagnose the problem. Then he ordered the part and returned a few days later to install it. He patiently waited, after pulling out the range, so I could clean the back of the range and also the floor underneath and behind it. I appreciated that.

I took one look at and knew it was beyond my scope of expertize. We have had JS Appiance before and they always seemed to do a good job. We called them on a Saturday morining and they came the same day, which we appreciated. They came, hooked them up and we were operating. The machines have worked fine since. This was something I could not ever done on my own. Having some one who knew what they were doing was worth evey cent.

I called 8 am in the morning and had the freezer fixed by 2pm. It was more expensive than I thought the part is probably 40-50 bucks but when you have a freezer full of food and no part whadayado. He was prompt and professional. He carries his book value notebook for prices. A month and a half later its still working.

When the ten year old refrigerator stopped keeping things cold, I figured it was time for a new unit. Refrigerators are expensive. I decided to check Angie's List. It was the first time I've used the list. A most positive experience. I found a repair service with an A rating not too far from me. I called and asked whether I could get a report on whether it could be repaired. Repairman was competent and friendly. Work was done quickly and neatly. The part that had to be replaced was in his truck, so entire job was finished in less than thirty minutes. Saved me from a major expenditure.

clothes dryer didnt spin. Called them and the showed up promptly, gave cost to repair, and was finished in under an hour.

This was my second time calling JS Appliance. I called them at 7am and got a phone call returned within 30 minutes. Then I told them I had to leave at 9:30a. Well, JS Appliance had someone at my home at 8am. The repair was complete by 9:30am.
They are prompt and reasonable. It is very hard to find an appliance repair company that is prompt and professional.
Great company.

I've used them many times. They are lovely. They call and tell me it is going to be $69 to come as a service call regardless. They apply that amount if they can fix it; otherwise that is their cost for coming out to the house to look at it. They are very polite and nice. They have done lots of things for me, including fixing my washing machine. Their punctuality is perfect. He called and said that he would be here in 15 minutes and he was. I haven't checked other prices. I only use them because they are local and I believe in supporting my community.

This company came when they said they would and it was in a reasonable amount of time from when I called them. The serviceman was very nice and patient in locating the issue. My only complaint is that he didn't carry repair parts with him so he had to come over twice, once to evaluate the problem, and then a week later to actually repair it. That means more time off from work to have an appliance repaired. All in all, my dishwashher was repaired properly and I was happy with the service.

I first called All Island Appliance on Carleton Ave. The man answering the phone said it was late in the day and he would check with the repairman when he came in and call me back. That was a Friday. When I did not hear by mid morning on Monday, I called and left a voice mail requesting a call back, which never came.
Several of the referrals you gave me were in Conneticut. I live on Long Island. This was not appropriate. I went to the Yellow Pages phone book for Suffolk County, Long Island and chose Jand S Appliance Repair in Miller Place and was very pleased. The receptionist was very courteous. She gave me a range of time for the repair man to arrive with the date and on that day called to notify me that he would be at my home in about 1/2hr. He was right on time. The cost of the assessment was not charged since the repair was completed in which case they wave this fee..
The repair was completed. He also looked at and repaired my stove which a previous repair man refused to come to the home to even look at the problem. My husband and I were very pleased.
Mike also gave us a referral for a company to clean the dryer vent which was badly clogged with lint. That repair was done today and again we are very pleased.

I called Saturday morning . They came in the afternoon. Arrived on time, made repair. No complaints.

We found Jand S on Angie's List and called, arranging for them to do the work. Found them to be great to deal with. They were able to identify the problem, provide the parts and fix it without us having to return.

I have used them before. They were great. They did a great job. Overall it went very well. I'm happy. They were very knowledgeable. They came out when they said they were going to come out. They did a good job and my washing machine works well. I had a very good experience with them. It was great. They were very good. I would definitely use their services again in the future.
