I wanted to have part my land cleared at my house and being a new homeowner, I was unsure of how big or small the job was going to be. I tried over several months to clear the property myself but the trees were too big and the brush was too much for me to handle. I called seven contractors to get an estimate about clearing my property. Two contractors never called me back, and one contractor never returned my phone calls after hearing the type of work I wanted done. Another contractor scheduled a date to meet and never showed up at my house. It was tough at first because of work schedules and weather, but after a few weeks I was able to get three estimates. In the end, Suburban Excavating was the only company that kept in contact with me and returned my phone calls. The best part about it was that I dealt with the owner, Dino Gentile direct. Whenever I called the company he would either answer or call me back. When the decision was made to hire Dino to do the work, the job actually got easier. Dino came to my house, walked my property with me and explained everything that he was going to do. He gave professional advice and did not have a problem explaining the work he was going to do. He answered all my questions and did not mind that I had a million of them. It was clear that he enjoyed his job and was very knowledgeable about it. Again, the work schedules weather and financial issues complicated the start of the job but the whole time, Dino was in contact with me and still made himself available to answer any questions that I had. Just before the start of the project, Dino came to my house one more time and physically went over the extent of the job again. Dino provided me with a clear and simple contract that outlined all the work that he was going to do. The price was clear and the scope of work was detailed. About a week before the job started, Dino contacted me and gave me a date when he was going to start the job. He told me when he was going to drop his equipment off and what I should expect when the job started. Dino arrived at my house early in the morning and dropped his equipment off. Working with heavy machinery is going to cause damage to property (ie: lawns, driveways) but Dino took every precaution to protect my property the best he could and I am very satisfied with the results. Dino had an employee with him, Mike that was also a pleasure to work with. Dino started the job and continued to work through the day. I left my house for several hours and did not have any concerns. I was very confident in leaving Dino and Mike at my house by themselves. Dino worked at my house for two days straight and accomplished more than I could even imagine. Dino wanted to get the job completed and even worked in the dark. I am very satisfied with the completed work that Suburban Excavating did at my house. I am more satisfied with the knowledge, communication and professionalism displayed by the owner Dino. I plan on hiring Dino to do more work at my house and plan on using his company for all my excavating needs.
Description of Work: The work at my house consisted of clearing part of my property from trees and stumps. Suburban Excavating came to my house, dropped all the trees and pulled the stumps out of the ground. The trees were cut into several logs and piled on my property (at my request) while the stumps and brush were trucked away.
