I took in my Oreck Vacuum for a yearly standard tuneup. The first time I stopped by around 12:30, there was a sign on the front door that said, "Closed. Be back around 1:30-2:00". I don't know if this is a usual thing, but it makes things difficult when the store is only open 10:00-6:00 during the week, which are normal work hours for people like me. I had to go back a second time. Sales clerk Tony, was confrontational and demanded my paperwork because I was a new customer to that location. Before coming to the store, I had called Oreck and had the customer service representative email Oreck Vacuums of Middletown (88 Dunning Rd., Middletown) all of my warranty information, customer contact information, etc. Tony found the email, right on top of a stack of printed out emails. I picked up the vacuum the next week. It was ready as promised. (I never received a phone call that the vacuum was ready to be picked up). I asked for a receipt for my records and Tony acted as though it was a huge inconvenience, complete with dirty look, etc. My vacuum works fine however, the experience with Tony was not a good one. Tony was rude and confrontational; not the type of treatment you'd expect from someone who works in the service industry.
