NOEL'S AIR CONDITIONING

Noel’s workmen secured the air conditioner sleeve by screwing it into my radiator. The resulting steam escaping from this hole destroyed my windowsill and stained the shade. Ultimately, the radiator had to be replaced. Because it is partially recessed, this involved breaking down portions of the wall. It cost a total of $4,000 to remove and replace the radiator, repair the wall, replace and stain moldings, and paint. Noel has refused to take any responsibility for this disaster.

Terrible..... After installation the Living Room unit was hanging out of the wall . A man was sent back and it was fixed . Then I had a problem with birds in my wall . I called the office and was told birds don’t get in the wall. I had to call a Pest Control Company to come . The birds were inside the wall . I was told by pest control it was due to the ac not being sealed. They had to cut a 2 holes inside my living room wall and take 3 birds out and there nest also spray. I have this in writing and pictures as well . In addition I now need a contractor and painter. When I went to the office of NOEL AIR CONDITIONERS I WAS CALLED TOLD I WAS A LIED. And dismissed. Now I have to sue which can take a year . And in the meantime I must pay for all the repairs. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF++++++++

They were excellent. They showed up right when they said they would. They were very polite and knowledgeable. Most providers you can tell they're just doing a job, but they really went above and beyond. The installation was not an easy one but they went to great lengths to get it done and get it done right. Very professional!

Unfortunately, the very nice repair staff from Noel's reported in minutes that A/C unit was beyond repair. In the circumstances, however, I do think that the $136.09 fee charged for this brief visit was excessive. $75 would have seemed more reasonable an in line with the general charge for a service call to evaluate an appliance repair. That said, the staff at Noel's were uniformly courteous, thoughtful, timely and considerate.

They are very good. They are very clean. They come on time. They are very professional. I've used them for service too. They have been in the neighborhood for many years. They are pretty well-known and respected. I'm happy with them. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Though costly, I would choose Noel's company to install a ductless system.  in 2013, I had not yet joined Angie's List so I asked a handyman I trust to recommend a company and that's how I got to Noel.  He was very busy (the old unit had conked out during a heat wave), but found time to come over and talk to us about our options.  After going through the pros and cons of replacing the old central system with a new one vs. taking out the old one and replacing it with the ductless, we opted for the ductless. We decided to put units in the kitchen, the living/dining and the three bedrooms.   We set a date when the work would start, and his crew appeared on time.  They were very professional and tidy and I noticed that they all respected the workers were very respectful toward Noel and vice versa.  The following examples bring this out clearly.

First, my neighbor (OK, but on the touchy side) complained to Noel that the workers had left some piping leaning on the side of her house and because she's the type who exaggerates when irritated, also said that they were drinking beer on the job.  Now, it was true that they had leaned the piping on the side of her house but I was watching them and they were NOT drinking any alcoholic--just some soda.  Noel doublechecked the facts with me and then gave the guys a helluva lecture about professionalism.   Thereafter, they kept all their materials either in the truck or on our property.   Second, two of the men had a difference of opinion on something or the other and they raised their voices.  That they were arguing on the job came to Noel's attention and he must have spoken to them about it because the next day they both apologized to me.

 Now that the system is up and running, we are thrilled by its efficiency and its aesthetic experience.  Whenever I walk around my neighborhood, I check on the way other people have installed ductless systems, and I can honestly say that Noel did the neatest job.  A ductless unit is very big and has a lot of tubes and pipes.  Noel covered all the tubes in and pipes and put the units at the back of the house.  No other company has done that so people have these enormous square boxes and exposed tubing in the front or sides of their houses, which I think is unattractive.  They may have paid less and maybe their systems also run efficiently, but from the aesthetic point of view, I got hands down, the better deal.

Contacted Noel's back in May 2013 for an estimate and they left with a deposit for 2 brand new a/c's that I knoew for the past 2 years needed replacement.  Pat - the assistant was very patient and understanding because my building was undergoing a facade restoration - therefore we both felt it better to wait until the restoration was completed (it was in Sept 2013) to replace the a/c. My a/c's were replaced the week after Labor Day and they're beautiful.
Pat and the staff at Noel's were knowledgable and professional and more imprtant - very nice!

Very good -- easy to schedule visit, repairman arrived promptly, performed repair quickly, no mess, no smell.

They will be installing my 6th air conditioner on Thursday, 7/11/13.  I doubt there will be problems, but if there is I will update.
