When we originally purchased our home, we reached out to a family member for a recommendation for a painter. My aunt had used South Shore Painters for years. Well, 20 years later, we are still using South Shore Painters. Ed has always been our go to for painting. We have used South Shore Painting on four different occasions to paint our home and to repair damaged walls. Their work is flawless, and they paint with such precision. South Shore Painting gets the job done in a timely manner and they are reasonably priced.

South shore painting repaired a large hole in my dinning room ceiling and then painted it. They also repaired multiple cracks in the sheet rock in my downstairs bathroom, as well as the tapping on the ceiling and then painted the bathroom also. In 2009 south shore painting did work in my living room and fixed several cracks and those cracks never reappeared. and because my house is more than 90 years old. one would have expected that those crack would reappear but they have not. south shore painting is reliable, have neat workers, everything was covered appropriately, the men was courteous, prompt, and you couldn't ask for anything more. I do not believe that they are overly expensive, I believe that money spent was well worth it.

It went very well. The crew showed up every morning right on time, they work trough the the day, the paint they did was very good. They did an excellent job, they cleaned up when they finish, they put back everything on place and we have no complaint.

South Shore Painting did an amazing job, you can not see where there was any damage at all. The blend was perfect! There was plastering and sanding done, the cleanup was like they were never there. I would recommend them highly. The cost was very reasonable. I will be calling them again for other services.

This project was done 2 years ago in May. I have walls that are cracking and paint peeling off moldings. Might have looked very nice in my first review but as we see work was evidently not done up to par or properly or these things would not have happened. He was a lot of money-try someone else.

"Thank you. What readers and potential new customers cannot distinguish in a review, is what is in a contract and what recommendations were made at that time. Your home was in very poor shape with moisture issues that had to be corrected. It was recommended by our office to address attic insulation issues, as well as replacing certain rooms with new sheet rock. Those all would have incurred extra costs and you chose not to spend more. I warranty all my work. If you saw issues arising and understood the original recommendations I made, then I am not sure why I wasn't called. I am an owner operator in your area for 32 years. I am on all my jobs and I am very workable, as expressed in the other reviews posted on Angies List. If you would like for me to look and correct your situation in a timely fashion please feel free to call . ED"

Ed and his crew did an amazing job at our home. We used South Shore to re-plaster our walls and ceilings, install new trim work on stairs, and paint our walls and stringers. All aspects of our job went fantastic. Ed was very helpful during the estimating process. The crew showed up on time each day, did an amazing job of of protecting our newly refinished floors throughout the job, and went above and beyond to clean up nightly. If considering South Shore for your work, know that you will receive A+ customer service and craftmenship from Ed and his crew. A+++

My wife and I are extremelty pleased with the work that was completed today. Showed up exactly on time, ready to get the day started. Both painters were very professional, protected our floors and furniture to the max. After they were finished my wife found a small blemish on the wall, rather then make up some nonsence excuse they redid the area. Extremely patient, others would of attmpted to rush out. Prices were really competetive, which anyone can apprecaite. I will be using this company for future projects. Next week im having our front door restained, can't wait to see how it comes out! You earned my business, thank you!!

It went fine till it was time to order the paint. There was miscommunication/language problem with worker about the finish of the paint..egg shell vs matte.

The business owner came to my home within 24 hours of my call. He was experienced with my unusual situation (water damage to plaster over 1950's button board). He gave me a fair estimate and returned with his workman the next morning to supervise the job. The work was completed quickly and professionally. My house was left completely repaired and cleaned before the workman left. All were courteous, friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend South Shore Painting and Plastering Corp. A+ Rating!

Excellent work and professional crew. Job well done and within the scheduled time. Recently obtained an estimate from the owner for additional work. After inadvertently insulting some of our decorating, owner Ed provided an estimate that was much higher than other contractors for essentially the same work. Though more than satisfied with his work quite some years ago, we will not hire again.

And then afford me an opportunity to explain or make comparisons. Essentially not all plaster work is the same. Very few contractors work with the same materials I work with, however their finished product may look like similar work. You have made your comparisons based on the old adage "If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...it must be a duck!". Contractors usually win bids on price, unfortunately, --that doesn't surprise me, nor should it you. Thanks again -Eddie"

They were terrific, they worked hard and came on time. They recognized that since there was a lot of work to do, they brought in another person. They were professional and cleaned up. After they finished, I had a small roof leak which damaged some of the new paint. I called them and the owner said, once I get the roof fixed, he would come out and touch up the paint for free. The work is fantastic and they go above and beyond.

The painters did an excellent job thoroughly preparing and painting the entire house. The men worked diligently everyday and it resulted in a detailed paint job. Eddie and his crew were great. They arrived on time every day and completed everything on time. They fixed all the cracks in our plaster and did a full skim coat on our ceiling. They also installed beautiful wainscoting in our dining room, which we decided to do after we booked the job. They were very easy to work with and I would highly recommend them.
