Emailed about service and prices and sounded good, made an appointment to meet that weekend/ First came on Sat 4/19 to discuss services, when asked prices for sping clean up, rubbish removal, and other work around the yard he wasn't sure, threw out figures and said how's that? They were good prices but in the back of my mind I thought what will the price be next spring or next time? He did intial poop cleanup that day, As seemed well espeically since he showed up on Easter and planted our cherry tree, did this without us knowing, that was nice. We agreed that he'd come every Friday to do the lawn. I told him I wanted a scheduled day because i have 2 dogs and don't want them to get out of the yard and I don't want to have to wonder what day he'd be there. So he came on Fri 4/25 and poop scooped no mowing. So he came on Sat 4/26 mowed the lawn and did rubbish removal. that was OK because he needed someone to help him and doesn't have someone when he scoops only when he mows. Next visit should of been Fri 5/2 no show, Shows up on Sat 5/3 instead and mowed lawn, OK, next Friday 5/9 no show, no calls, no eplanation. He told me on the first visit that they planned a cruise in a few weeks (no date given) and that he would have someone cover for him. i emailed them on Sat 5/10at 4pm to say why no show. Get a response on Mon 5/12 that they went on vacation 5/4 to 5/12 (I didn't know that, they could easily email me and say so before they left) his wife does all the corresponding and billing and coordinating, i told her I'd like a consistent date going forward, as agreed upon on the first day we met. She said he'll be here on Fri 5/16 to scoop and mow and would it be OK if he came Satuday 5/17 to finish up the spring clean up he missed, I say OK, but this is the last weekend please. When he doesn't show up on Friday I email her pictures of my 1 foot tall grass and poop and ask what's going on, should I still expect him? Finally Friday 5/16 he shows up at 5:30 pm her response was it's a long day espeically with bad weather and he had a late start he had to drive a relative to an doctor appointment in the morning, he does poop only, I email again and she says he'll be there on Sat 5/17 to finsh up everything and then we'll start the next week every Wednesday, OK. so we agree I'll be available on Sat to discuss what he needs to finish up, I ask if they can give me a time, yes 11am, Sat comes he calls at 11 says he's backed up wil be thre at 12 (no ptoblem) shows up at 2 pm and only does the lawn, no weed whacking, no clean up as promised, just mowing He forgot his pruners, he'll come on Wed 5/21 to do the clean up and empty a planter I have filled with soil and refill it (there was work missed for the intial clean up that had alteady been paid for) I was paying extra for the planter. Tuesday evening 5/20 I inquired what time he'd be here so I can meet him and discuss the planter details with him, just wanted to know morning or afternoon. here's the response: "He says afternoon. Please understand, we are a very small company. We don't have an extra truck, or crew. Things can happen and do, like flat tires on the truck or equipment, clogged filters, weather, issues that arise with his helper, or health. Tomorrow may be tough to estimate with the rain." Well enough of the excuses, I'm sure he won't be here so I ended our business relationship.
I am a very patient and tolerant person, I am not a picky person, I am organic, not a lawn freak. I just expect work done when promised, my weekends not interrupted and not a zillion excuses. They are not consistent or reliable, doesn't have any help looks as if each week he may hope that someone will work with him, I've called my original lawn guy back who was consistent and am hiring someone else to do the scooping. I thought it'd be easier to have one person who could do all the work rather than hiring a bunch of people. I was wrong, Sounded good, it was a good price, but what good is a price if you don't get the service??
