I saw an uptrend in silver prices and wanted to purchase some myself. From prior experiences I knew that there would be some sort of premium above market value. However I did not imagine that anyone would even attempt to charge me a premium that brings the total cost to almost 200% that of market. Friendly talks and smiles and an insult of my intelligence as if I knew nothing about what I was buying. Integrity goes a long way. Remember that.

A complete disaster. They DESTROYED my ring to the point I can no longer go anywhere else and get anything close to its origin value. Acid is used to test gold. A small scratch is made to test the purity of the gold. AMERICAN COIN AND STAMP BROKERAGE cut the ring in half. Scratched it horrifically both inside and out. From my point of view in past the test but the gentleman proceeded to tell me he would need 1 to 2 weeks to take it to the city for an official analysis $50 of which I would be responsible for travel expenses. You guys have been in business almost 40 years and you can't tell if it's gold or not ? And then you expect me to feel comfortable allowing AMERICAN COIN AND STAMP BROKERAGE to hold my ring without compensation until you find the time to get it tested ? That is ridiculous.
