"Thank you very much! We are so glad you are happy! Of course you can rest assured if there is ever any adjustments, touch ups or issues we will come back and take care of it. Enjoy your kitchen and thank you again for your business!"
"Thank you so much for taking the time to review our company! We trust appreciate it and hope you enjoy your “new” kitchen!"
"Thank you very much for the kind review!"
"Thank you so much! The kitchen looks fabulous! It was a pleasure working with you, enjoy!"
"With all due respect, I never received any pictures of your bathroom vanity!! I didn’t even receive a call back from you verifying if I got any pictures! This “F” is absolutely unfair and unjust. I also did explain to you right up front that we really don’t do bathroom vanities and after further conversation I told you if you send a few pics I would try to give you a ballpark figure of what it would be if we could do it for you. Please call because perhaps you don’t have the correct email or cell phone number but I also ask you to please remove this unwarranted review. Sincerely, Seth Shaw (owner)"
"Thank you very much for your kind words! We greatly appreciate that and of course we appreciate your business!"
"Thank you for your excellent review! This was definitely much more than a standard refacing and countertop job but we try our hardest to give the customers what they want at as reasonable of a price we can without sacrificing quality! Needless to say if there is ever any problem with what we did and need something repaired or touched up please don’t hesitate to call!"
"Thank you so much for this glowing review!! This is what makes us proud and helps solidify our business goals and philosophies! Enjoy your new kitchen!"
They were prompt and everything and more was done as written in contact.
Their design advice was excellent as was the work done.
They were easy to work with.
They don't do sheet rocking but what little needed to be done was easy enough.
One of the doors sent to them was the wrong size and there were a few other small things needed to be completed. They told me to hold some money back.
when the door came they replaced it and did whatever else we thought need to be done.\.
There was never any disagreements and again, it was a pleasure to work with them.
My wife and I are extremely happy with the kitchen.
We would definitely recommend U.S Cabinet Refacing
"We are delighted that you are happy with everything! By building the cabinets up to the ceiling on top of your existing cabinets it was an incredible difference. It makes your kitchen look bigger and of course gives you more storage. Enjoy and thank you again for your business!"
Seth is the owner of this company. I contacted him through Angie's List and he responded promptly. He is a very personable and professional gentleman and I enjoyed doing business with him. He showed up at the appointed hour and explained the entire refacing process to me. He showed me samples of the doors and drawers fronts. After I chose what I wanted, he quoted me a price for the whole job that I found to be extremely fair. Since my wife had been unexpectedly called away for work I asked him if he would be willing to come back again to meet her and he readily agreed.
The second encounter with Seth went just as smoothly. My wife liked him as much as I had at our first meeting and there was no "fudging" about his initial price estimate. After finalization of all the details we signed the contract (very straightforward) and he told us that it would be 3-4 weeks before the doors and drawer fronts would be ready. He also said that the project would take 3 -4 days to complete.
In fact, the waiting period was more like 2 1/2 weeks which was splendid. He gave me the date and his two installers showed up promptly at the appointed time. They brought their equipment up in the elevator, "sealed" off the kitchen with tarps and got right down to work. These guys were polite and professional and very respectful of the fact that they were in our home. You could see that they were used to working with each other doing this kind of work. They worked hard and quickly but everything was done with an eye towards perfection. They completed our project in 2 long days. Everything was cleaned when they left and all of the trash went with them.
When I met with Seth he told me that his installers all worked for him for many years, that he didn't use subcontractors and that whichever crew started the project would finish it. He was true to his word.
We are both amazed at how wonderful the kitchen now looks.
I would recommend this company without hesitation.
I would like to thank Seth and his installers for the wonderful job they did.
"We certainly want to thank you for this very kind review, and quite frankly I'm humbled... As the owner of the company, and speaking for all my crews we do try very hard to provide the most value we can for the dollar and the best service we can. We are so glad you are pleased and once again thank you! Sincerely, Seth Shaw"
I picked a medium brown cherry finish with copper handles and a quartz counter top with copper speck in it.
When you walk into the kitchen with all the cabinet doors closed, it looks brand new, beautiful counter top, the small back splash looks a bit unfinished but you tell yourself you can live with it.
Everyone is pleasant and accommodating as far as the cabinet laminating goes
The not so good:
-Open the doors and the cabinet frames look worse than when the job started (this is because they have to file the facing of the cabinets to smooth the edge and in the process file away the finish on the frame). I was told it was my responsibility to fix the frames
-I was told my two damaged cabinets would be repaired - not done
-Direction of door openings and handle position change without consulting me. Once the holes are drilled it is too late to go back so I live with that too.
-appliances installed not level, all of them had to be adjusted, microwave had to be reinstalled, dishwasher connection box left with wires hanging on the floor, cover to connection box is missing.
-faucet was switched without consulting, offered to install a new one if I bought a new one myself.
-opening for the sink has too much stone overhanging in the sink thus reducing the size of the regular size sink (this was the counter top people's doing). Looks a little ridiculous with the goose neck faucet, I live with that too.
The project started in mid August 2015, finally finished after Thanksgiving.
If I was aware of all these things upfront, I would have no problem hiring them again. Just get someone else to install your appliances and a carpenter to do your repairs before and after the refacing is done and buy your own faucet. You have to monitor the work yourself because there is absolutely no quality control by anyone else. The owner never came to see any of the work after the initial estimate.
"Thank you for taking the time to offer your input. We are certainly sorry to hear about some of the things you mentioned. It sounds like overall the kitchen looks great and brand new! That is the effect refacing is supposed to have. As far as the inside we try to file the edges as carefully and smoothly as possible, but we were using existing cabinets that weren't perfect to begin with and depending on the type of existing cabinets and the inside color, some can show more than others. Also, any time your cabinets get emptied and then you put everything back it is natural to notice more blemishes that may have actually been there to begin with, once again the existing cabinets were at least 20 years old. But anyway, you mentioned a few things that I didn't know about nor did you mention...for example the direction of doors opening! If a couple of doors are hung opposite of what they were then it is probably the normal way we would put them as we go by the industry standards on these things. But I would be more than happy to order you 2 more doors if you want it the other way! The sink issue in regards to the overhang is also completely and totally by industry standards and we have never once had anybody mention this as a problem...and the size of the sink is 100% standard and not reduced at all, there is no such thing as a reduced sink and the overhang must be there over the sink so water doesn't collect. We know that when you remove a formica counter and put a stone counter there are things that you aren't accustomed to, I have a feeling that this is one of them. I do also have to bring up that in regards to the time frame, you failed to mention that you decided to change the size of the island cabinet and countertop AFTER they were installed which therefore made the turnaround even longer! We did everything you wanted us to do... No we are not perfect and some jobs may have different circumstances than others, but to say we have absolutely no quality control is a major exaggeration! We also did try to schedule times to come back but of course we understand people are busy but you weren't available several times also my customer service manager Ricky was in touch with you constantly and was the liason that coordinated and orchestrated all of the different variables and followed thru with you every step of the way. This is why I have him because unfortunately I can't be everywhere and I didn't realize there was a need for me to come there, I thought everything was under control and I was of course made aware of the status of the job along the way, but I do apologize for that. Anyway, the feedback is duly noted and appreciated and we do hope you enjoy the kitchen and I am going to call you later to find out which doors are opening the opposite way you would like and I will gladly replace them! Thank you!"
"Thank you for your time to review us! We hope you enjoy!"
"We value your business and we stand behind it! If you ever need any adjustments or touch ups feel free to call us as once again you have a 10 year warranty for those doors, drawers and labor and a 15 year warranty on the Quartz! Hope you are enjoying the kitchen."
"We hope you are enjoying the kitchen! Thank you very much for taking the time to post this great review!"
"Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that there was a scheduling glitch and misunderstanding which resulted in a last minute cancellation etc. Unfortunately covering the vast territory we do coupled with the many people/suppliers involved to make these projects happen results in this very rare occurrence! We also try very hard to accommodate everybody's schedules and sometimes other customers are running late or have to reschedule which of course has an affect on our schedule on down the line...but we really do the very best we can and are very sensitive to people's valuable time! Anyway, as far as the original issue with the chips it came to light that our installer had a bad router bit but we had every intention to redo it the way we always do which is properly, we just needed to order the proper materials, and of course we re-did it according to our quality control standards, and we are very glad you are happy in the end after we took care of the situation! Enjoy the kitchen and as always don't hesitate to call us in the future of there are any adjustments necessary!"
"We really appreciate your kind review and we are always happy when we exceed expectations! I remember your concerns about going from wood to a laminate and we are so glad you like it, enjoy!"
"Thank you and we are so glad all went well! Enjoy the kitchen and let us know if you need anything in the future."
