SMD Computer

Brought my computer in after it crashed. I was unable to install MS word. Computer was totally messed up. They took a while to scan it, fixed the software problem and repaired the hardware for a very reasonable price.

He is very good.  He is a very nice person.  His price is very reasonable.

I left a message with Steve during the week. He said that he'd be able to come on Saturday and he gave me a time. On Saturday I left a message on his machine. He responded a little late, apologizing that he had unanticipated problems with his client that morning and it took a little bit longer to fix. (It's nice to know that he wanted to make sure that his previous client was up and running before he went to his next job). He came over Saturday afternoon and was able to pinpoint exactly which file had been corrupted. He successfully installed my printer (used an ethernet connection). He also was able to fix another computer and get it up and running within 5 minutes. He sold me some ethernet cables at a cheap price. It's really nice that I was able to get a quote over the phone that was honored when he got here, not like a lot of other places that I contacted that want a diagnosis fee up front, then want to charge an hourly rate. Others want you to disconnect the computer and bring it into the shop rather than drive over to your home. He spent several hours and did NOT charge an hourly rate. Nor did he charge a diagnosis fee. He left his card and is easily reachable by phone or email if you have any other problems/questions. I definitely would recommend Steve.
