George V.I had lawn aeration and overseeding done on 5/30/20 and fertilizer was also to be applied. When I set up the appointment the secretary who is very nice to deal with said that the owner Chris Pancari does the fertilizer and it would not be done over the weekend. On Wednesday 6/3/20 I called the office to see when the owner would be coming to finish the job and there was no answer. I left two messages to call me the second message being cancellation of services for the fertilization. After business hours I went and bought fertilizer and finished the job myself. At 6:30 pm almost 8 hours after my first call the owner Chris whom I ve never dealt with returns my call with an attitude and was very rude. He questioned me on why I would fertilize my own lawn and I should not have cancelled. I told him after not hearing from the company all day I assumed that nobody was coming. Then he began using profanity and dropped an F-bomb I told him that he was extremely unprofessional and rude and he would never do business at my home again. He replied that he did not give F about my business. This was an unfortunate experience because I have used them many times in the past and the crew has been professional and the work is good but I will never give my money to someone who s rude and does not appreciate my business.

"Well, that is not exactly what happened. You called and scheduled aeration to be done on your property. While my crew was there on a Saturday, you called the office to add a fertilization treatment. You were told since we did not plan to do that, that I would come back one day the following week to take care of it. Then you called Tuesday to see when I would be getting to it. Tammy in the office said "One day this week" again. Then you called three times Wednesday, with the third time canceling. When I called you back you said: "Well its already Wednesday". We told you one day the next week, which is one day between Monday thru Saturday. I"

They worked quick and efficiently. I had them do a spring cleaning and thatching on my back yard. Still have a couple small problem areas that didn’t come up with the thatching machine but great value for the money. Would have taken me a whole weekend or two to do what they did in under an hour.

Before we hired them, we spoke with the owner (Chris), and told him we didn't want people looking into our house, while they were working. He joked, "they'll be too busy to look in". But they weren't. Every time they came, someone looked in through the windows, long enough to establish eye contact! We were sitting at our dining room table when this occurred; never watching from the door, for example. When we contacted Chris to complain, he was not at all apologetic, referring to the matter as "this nonsense". Once we cancelled their service, they sent multiple bills by e-mail and placing one in the mailbox. Then, they continued sending e-mailed bills. culminating after only two weeks with a demand letter, threatening court action. He also was not willing to go to an alternate weekly schedule for the fall, threatening and then charging nearly double for a "long grass" rate, for the week that we did skip. Not recommended.

"When I first met you to discuss your needs I told you that it was a WEEKLY service. When you e-mailed me the very next week that you wanted to skip the next cutting, I e-mailed you back stating I would skip you as you requested. I also told you in advance that I would be charging you extra for the next cut. I also mentioned that I told you when we met that it was a weekly service. When we met I also told you that payment is due on the last cutting of every month. You already had your invoice in the mailbox before you e-mailed to cancel because that was the last cut of the month. I was there with my crew cutting your lawn and that's how I know this "looking in windows" did not occur. You said you had your last Landscaper look in your window. I find it hard to believe that everyone that is coming on your property has the need to see what's going on in your house. My customers have nothing but good things to say about my company and my crew. I will let my over 140 combined 5 stars speak for themselves. I would not recommend working for John Randone from74 Inverness Rd. Holbrook"
