 + 2 moreWe paid him hourly instead of getting a quote for the job because he did not know how long it would take. Basically he took way too long to get anything done and we let him go the 4th day when he never showed up until 2:00 when I called him 5 times and drove over to his home and had to knock on his door. He said he was cutting and gluing the doors. I think he was eating a sandwich and watching tv on my time! He wasted a lot of time going back and forth to the store. My husband had to finish the rest of the work. He took 4 days to do not much of anything. (Oh, and he put dirty, moldy sheets and covers on my new carpets. I had an allergy attack and asked him to let me wash them. He did apologize for that.) He was nice, BUT never pay someone hourly who moves like a turtle.
Description of Work: Cut 4 doors, added sheet rock and covered with one coat of spakel for a recently installed ceiling fan, put up an unfinished railing, cut and attached unfinished floor molding for a small closet, framed and installed a doorway (in which he only did one coat of spackel and no painting of any doors. $900 of his time and $590 for material

Description of Work: I found Lunt Home Improvements 13 years ago and Jerry has been providing me with all my construction and home improvements needs since. The lastest project was a screened-in porch to put the finishing touches over a fish pond he constructed in my backyard. The pond is constructed from concrete and river stone and houses 30 fish. It is a free form 1,500 gal. tank which measure approximately 12' x 10', 3 ' deep. The pond project included all the pumbing and filtering systems and has been working perfectly for 5 years. The screened-in porch is the culmenation of the project which allows me to enjoy the pond without being bothered by mosquitos and shields me from the sun while I relax and feed/play with my fish. The porch is custom construction of curved galvanized fence railing which supports 300 sq. ft. of fiberglass fine mesh mosquito screening with a top section covered with green and white canvas. It encloses approximately half the pond so that I can view and feed the fish without obstruction. Because of the way the screening just touches the surface of the water and the curved shape, I named it the Nautllus.
