Lange Family Cesspool

After using Dave Lange for pump out service a few times we called again for a clogged lateral drain line to a dry well. We had been satisfied with the response time and service before and assumed we would get the same again. They came promptly and attempted to clear the line, but after a half hour told me the line was clogged with roots and could not be opened and presented me a bill for the failed clean out, took my check and left. We waited for almost a week for them to give us a $2500 quote to replace the lateral. Before spending that kind of money we opted for a second quote. When I explained the situation to the new company, Their first suggestion was to let them try to clear the drain. Within five minutes snaking the line, the clog was cleared! I gladly paid them to finish Dave's job and threw away Dave's quote. The next day, I decided to call Dave Lange to tell them what happened and to ask what their refund policy was in this situation. The woman who answered the phone, took my message and promised to call back. Several days later with no return phone call I called again. This time, a man, who I assumed was an owner, answered the phone. He seemed a bit evasive about any kind of reparation, but promised me he would discuss it with someone and call me back. Another week later I called again and left a message with no return phone call. Another week later I called back and gave them one last opportunity to call me back. That was a week ago and still no callback! I am not upset that they couldn't do the job right the first time. I'm upset that they had no customer service follow up. Not even a courtesy call. Nothing! They had no problem taking our money for an unfinished job. But they did not value our business enough to make a simple phone call. Terrible customer service. Terrible business ethic.

Sinks and tubs were gurgling and sewage was coming out the vent pipe on foundation. Not good with four of us that have to get up and shower in the a.m.  I called Tuesday night and they were there as promised Wednesday at 0800 a.m. After a little effort they were able to release the clog. They explained that I have orange burg pipe which is known to collapse with age.  the pipe is nearly 60 years old. The pool was full but I had to go to work so we scheduled another morning for pumping out the cesspool. they came back on time and completed the above work as noted above.  They also provided me an estimate for replacing the pipe and filling in my old block cesspool. We haven't decided when we are going to the work but will most likely go with Lange. They were courteous, prompt and courteous.

Arrived on time with the right equipment and did a thorough job of cleaning.

Ken showed up on time, gave me a great price and all work was completed the next day. before lunch time.  He took the xtra time to snap a few photos to show me where over flow pool was since we weren't sure where it was, or if it was filled or not.  Charged me his cost for the pump out of old pools. I would recommend them to everyone.
