STILLWATER RIDGE PROJECT & EXCAVATING SERVICES

Long story short, I am acting as my own General Contractor. Stillwater Ridge Excavation put up my foundation in July of 2008. The 10 inch concrete wall in the back of the basement fell in on August 4th, 2008. They are taking no responsibility for this wall. I recently found out from the framers (who were subcontracted by Stillwater who they did not pay) that they (Stillwater) hit the wall backfilling it accidentally. Stillwater stated that they would replace the wall once engineered plans were received. They were given those plans August 15th. My wall is still not up. I have about 12 inches of rain and mud in my frame out basement. I am basically being held hostage by this establishment until I can get my wall up and plus I have invested a lot of money (to me) into this project, that was only 3 weeks from completion. Their only response at this time is that they sympathize with me and I am high on their priority list. I was supposed to be on the their schedule for Monday (9/15) for the re-build of this wall of course they were a no show but on Tuesday they sent me a invoice of $25,000 and that they will begin the project after receiving a $15,000 deposit. At this time, I will not use them to complete my produce due to their dishonestly. They were also caught stealing supplies from my site and attempting to order supplies from 84 Lumber without my approval. The framing inspection has not past and they are refusing to complete until I purchased more lumber (that they have already stolen) to complete this job. They have been paid for a driveway that is a total mess from their people and trucks in and out.
