Cut up and remove three maple tree sections that had split from two large maple trees. With great zeal they came and chopped up the trees. We agreed that all debris would be removed. It took until the end of the week before they picked up the chopped up logs. They assured me the town was coming tar Tuesday to pick up the remaining limbs and leaves. I was assured that if the the town did not come they would remove everything. Michael J Prendergast is not trustworthy. He has promised me two times that they would be here to remove the mounds of debris. Each time he had some ridiculous excuse. I have asked for a partial refund so that I could hire someone else. He has now stopped returning my phone calls. What is most serious is that not only did he not finish the job but he gouged me on the price. He solicited my business the day after Hurricane Irene struck. I have now learned not to jump into this type of transaction with a fly by night. I would warn anyone who deals with this guy not to turn over a penny until your job has been completed to your satisfaction. Actually, I would recommend you not deal with him at all! This will save you much aggravation and hear ache. Never make a decision at an emotional time. Michael J Prendergast has the charm of a snake oil salesman and that is the product you will get. He is far from All American.
