No Doubt oil burner service

Absolutely horrible!! We woke up to a cold house. My parents had a burner contract with this company so I called and asked for a contract. They said they don't do contracts anymore and that it was $169.95 plus parts for them to service my burner. Little did i know that the $169.95 goes towards nothing. That's just for showing up. Everyone knows that if you decide for them to do the work that the service call is applied towards the first hour labor. So he does nothing for the $169.95. I had to go to work and my wife was home, so i told her that i would call someone to come by and check out the burner. I called no doubt oil burner service in Mastic, NY. I got a voicemail and stated that my burner hasn't been serviced in 2 years and it needs a cleaning and I want it checked out. He shows up and calls me at work and tells me that my circulation pump is bad and needs replacement. I said OK what's the damage? He then says it's $$169.95 for the service call and $790 plus tax for the pump install. I said,"Are you kidding me, a circulation pump is $100, where are you getting your pricing from?" He said, "I don't know, that's what we get." I said " No way, I can do it myself, unless you can show me that I have some special expensive pump, the most I would pay is $800". He then said, "Well, I would have to call in to my boss and find out." I said, "good, call me back with a better price, that's robbery." About 30 minutes later i get a call from my wife saying that the guy said he will get the heat going. I said to my wife, "How, I'm not paying him a 1000 bucks to install a $100 pump. She said, I don't know, he just said he was gonna get the heat going. I then told her to have the guy call me and to not do anything. About a half hour later i get a call from him saying that my heat is fixed. I said, "what did you do? He then said, I installed the pump! I lost it, and said i told you to call me back with the cost of the pump and I never told you to do anything. He then said, "well you said $800". I then said that would be the most I would pay if you could show me that my pump was more than $100! Then he get's all nasty and gives me a song and dance on how he has to feed his kids and that he will get into a lot of trouble if i don't pay him $800. I told him to take the pump out, it's 4 bolts and you were done in under an hour. I then said, what are you charging like $400 an hour labor! I said, "your out of your mind, you knew my wife was cold, you knew i wasn't there and you told her you would get the heat going when she knew nothing about the cost. I said, your a crook, do me a favor and leave my property, I will take it up with your owner Al. He then proceeded to argue with me telling me that time is money and he has other jobs to get to. At this time I was busy at work and wish I could just go home to deal with the situation, but I couldn't. I then told my wife to pay him $600 and then told him to leave my property or i'm calling the cops. My wife then calls me crying, saying he won't leave and that he is sitting in the truck. About another 1/2 hour goes by and I get a text from my wife that he left. I then called the owner Albert Anderson and told him how appalled I was at what just happened, he starts yelling at me saying i was arrogant to his worker. " Are you kidding me?, why because I asked questions. I'm just suppose to get ripped off and pay whatever you say because that's what you get! For anyone out there who cares. I ran the model number of the pump and it's highest price was $114 on a mom and pop website and under $100 everywhere else. The pump has 4 bolts and he finished the job in under an hour. They wanted to charge me $169.95 plus parts originally and I was having my burner cleaned.. Instead, they wanted to charge me $169.95 plus $790 for the pump installed. Worst part about all of this, is that when I got home, my burner was filthy! They never even cleaned it! Then I found out that my wife secretly gave the guy the $800. I asked her why did you give these crooks $800? She said, " because I was scared, the guy would not leave and threatened to call the cops. The receipt we got has no breakdown of anything. All it says it that I offered to pay $600 and the job was $800. I will never ever use these unprofessional bunch of crooks ever again. I have been trying to resolve this with the owner and he could care less. He told me, "thats the cost of doing business"! I told me he has 14 trucks and things are expensive. I found out that he has 2 employee's and works out of his house. Please stay away from these guys! Do yourself a favor! The owner talks to you worse than his little pip sqeeck worker. My wife said he's like 3 feet tall.
