Shower door is beautiful. My wife and I are very happy. Our installers, Rob and Dan, did a great job. Very neat and worked quickly and quietly. After installation was complete, he showed us his work and told us how to keep it clean. Very nice guys. Showroom in Mineola is the place we shopped. Very helpful with showing us different shower doors. Gave us a free squeegee!! Would definitely shop there again.

The sales staff was very informative and guided us through the selection process. The installers were pros and installed the doors with no problems. The shower looks great! We would highly recommend them.

Came out uneven in one side. They said for 125 they can fix it. I emailed them my concerns and was very nice and I received an illerate condescending response back threatening me if I post on social media. In my country freedom of speech is allowed and I am telling the truth. One side was fine the other side was off. If they knew it from the start they should have said something. My old crappy door was even. Doesn't make sense. They are very rude and I would never ever use or recommend them. I used the one in Huntington which is part of this store. Door does not stay closed. Useless on a shower.

My employer changed her mind after seeing the online reviews and even though no one even MEASURED her home yet, the people at the shower door were already threatening to sue her.  They claim she signed an iron clad contract and that she had no right to change her mind.

I would understand them keeping a nominal fee IF they actually performed any kind of service, but they did not. I have advised my employer to let me look up any company she plans to use in the future.

These people have no class. Philomena used very foul language on the phone. The man I asked to cancel the order said that he remembers my employer well and he WATCHED her sign the contract. (she went to the Huntington store, not the Massapequa store that he is in.) They are shady and we chose not to use them.  He said he would sue her and I told him to do his best!

I had researched a few shower door companies on line & via reviews on Angie's List. The Shower Door/Mirror & Glass World, had good reviews. We visited a few shops to see what was offered. We wanted to do a frameless enclosure w/a pivot door, but when we discussed this w/shop staff, we were told that due to placement of our toilet & water source on wall, we could not get that type of door. Worked w/Phil (@ the Huntington location). We were told that sliding doors were the only ones that could be used in our application w/out having to move the wall water source to the opposite wall. We did not want to do that, so we were shown sliders, in a semi-frames door. We wanted the Oil Rub Bronze finish, which was a stock item & could be delivered & installed w/in a week. We had a choice of header design, towel bars & glass options. That was great & fast, but we wouldn't be ready to do that within a week. He said we could place order & call when we were ready for the install. We placed order and added the DFI, which is a coating on the glass to prevent unwanted build-ups of soaps & oils & makes for easier cleanng. It needs to be applied, so it they need additional 10 days to apply & dry ($180 extra - SO worth it). On day of install, 2 men showed up & installed doors. They were courteous & cleaned up afterwards (note: they do not cart away the boxes doors came in, you are responsible for that - no biggie). We are very happy w/our shower doors !!!

On July 27th I met with Phillip at the Massapequa, NY location. He spent time to discuss the varying types of doors and gave an approximate cost for the doors with installation. Phillip advised I would need to return to the store when I was ready to place the order and arrange for their rep to come and measure as a deposit or advance payment was necessary.

My bathroom was renovated and ready for the doors as of August 3rd so I returned to the Massapequa, NY store and arrived at 5:47pm (the store closes at 6 and the store was open). I advised I was ready to leave a deposit and set up the measure. The woman who I met with advised she would not take my order so late in the day and I would need to return another time (she suggested the next morning) which I advised she would be unlikely to ever see me again. I work long hours as most do and I rushed from work to get to the store as early as possible before closing time. If you say your open until 6PM and are still present at the location, you do not turn away business.

What horrible business sense. To lose a new customer and a $2,500 order is just plain stupidity. This company had some negative reviews and some questionable ratings but I decided to move forward with them anyway on the advice of my general contractor. What a mistake. Rest assured, my GC will be made aware of this matter and asked not to recommend The Shower Door ever again.

DO NOT GO HERE! BE WARNED. This is the only time I've bashed anyone on Angie's list.

I had called New York Shower Door after having passed there showroom many times in the past, they immediately set up a appointment for one of there installers to come to my home to take measurements. Within about a week a technician showed up, on time and on schedule, and took all the necessary measurements.  However, before I placed my order, Jane the owner had recommended that I come into the showroom so I could actually see the product, Once arriving, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the product and the design of the showroom.   I was then greeted by Jane, and within minutes I felt like we were old friends.  She went through all my different options, showed me how it would look, pointing out a sample she had on her showroom floor, and within a few minutes we were able to draw up a contract.  She told me it would take about two weeks to fabricate and install, and so it was, almost to the date.  The installers were neat and courteous and did an excellent job with the install.  It's made such a hugh difference in the look of our bath, we couldn't be happier.

To be honest, the very first time we visited, we were underwhelmed with the attitude of the woman we met at the Huntington location. We decided months later to give the store another chance and I went alone when had an opportunity. I met Phil. He was terrific. He agreed to stay a little after closing time so my wife could come and see the doors I found. We went back and in a short time had put together an order. Fast forward about a month, and the doors were installed. The installers were polite, efficient and thorough. It turned out to be a smooth and easy transaction, from start to finish, and we're very happy with our shower doors.

I would not use this Company.

Company refused to provide any repairs to shower doors unless they did the original installation.

They were great. They were very prompt. They handled the job very quickly. They answered any questions. They were very clean when they picked up.

My contractor recommended them to me.  They really took their time and they did a good job.  I have nothing to complain about.  They were here when they said they would be.  Their pricing was competitive.

Overall, I am happy with the job. I had gotten some other estimates first; all were pretty close in price. I chose The Shower Door because of its proximity and reputation.
