Installation was 4 weeks later as the door had to be ordered in black, a custom color. Anthony arrived promptly and installed the carefully. He obviously takes great pride in his work. The door looks terrific and works beautifully. I would not hesitate in recommending him highly. Great job and great price.

Called them on Saturday after Thanksgiving and they explained cost options and arranged to time to come on Tuesday. They arrived on time and patiently awaited my late arrival, replaced the spring and installed the new door opener. It took about 2 hours. Installer took time to explain the new system in detail and demonstrated the new features. Glad I paid the extra $100 for the wifi, belt-drive Liftmaster opener. Super quiet and super easy to use, plus you can open and close from your phone. Unit also has motion activated light which is very helpful.

Mr. Hurwitz was prompt and a professional in every respect, and I have no reservation about recommending him to others. He sought to solve our overhead garage door opener problem first by repairing our 17-year old opener, replacing its nylon gears for a very reasonable amount of $175. I was happy that he was trying to save me the cost of a new door opener. This involved him making a special return trip just to provide the right screw that was missing, which he did promptly. When that repair proved insufficient and the door began stopping in midcourse, he came, again promptly, and tried to adjust it, but the new gears became stripped. Mr. Hurwitz installed a new LiftMaster overhead garage door opener for a total modest amount of $425, and applied the $175 I had paid him toward that amount. This purchase was also discounted $50 because Mr. Hurwitz did not need to replace the original existing chain drive with which there was no wear or problem and was able to utilze it. In everything I found Mr. Hurwitz was serving me as a customer in a way that was in our best interest. The new garage door opener has been working well for the past 14 months since, and I do not doubt that if there were to be any problem in the future, Mr. Hurwitz would stand behind his work. I highly recommend him and his service.

Great!! Called Jeff, left v/mail. He called me back within 10 minutes, gave me an estimate based on my description of the issue and said he would be here the next morning between 9:30-10. Arrived on time, made repair, total bill in line with estimate (not exact, but his estimate was sight unseen and i am quite satisfied)!

the installer was prompt, courteous, efficient.  The opener works perfectly.  He connected a previous opener to the controls and explained everything clearly. 

After my landscaper accidentally drove his riding mower into my 1953 garage door, splintering it, I decided it was really time for an new one (actually 20 years past due). On Saturday, 06/04/16, I called a few installers, and got an overall positive feeling after talking to him that Jeff was the guy for the job. After supplying him with the measurements and the particulars, he told me that he could probably do the job within the upcoming week. That Monday, he called to tell me that the installation could be done the following morning. Fantastic. Now, all I had to do was move about 65 years worth of debris out of the way to obtain a clear work space for the job - one of the reasons it took me so long to get a new door in the first place. Anthony, the installer, called me about a half hour before he arrived, and showed up exactly as stated. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, got right to work, and was extremely precise in his operation - almost surgical. The old door and mechanicals were stubborn, but no match for Anthony's expertise. The whole job took him about 2&1/2 hours, exactly as Jeff stated it would, and the finished product was weatherstripped and fit perfectly. It really changed the appearance of the house for the better - my neighbors were almost as thrilled as I was. Kudos to Jeff and Anthony for a superb job.

Jeff showed up right as scheduled. He was very professional and checked all aspects of what might have been causing the garage door opener to malfunction. When I asked him if I needed a new unit, he told me that the unit I have is an excellent unit. What do I know? He could have sold me a new one, and I never would have known the difference. (Thanks, Jeff!) He located the problem and fixed it right away. I asked for a keypad and a new lock as well, and he had everything done within an hour. 
I am extremely happy with his professionalism and the work he did (for a very fair price) and would recommend South Shore Garage Door Co. to anyone.

The service was performed very well. The service man was professional and courteous. The work was clean and painless to me. Very happy!

I spoke with the owner on a Tuesday and he was at my house to do the work the following morning. He showed up on time, performed the work quickly and was very professional through the entire process. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others.

Jeff showed up the same day as my call to him.  He was right on time and very courteous and professional.  He inspected my existing door and promptly provided me with a quote as well as left a detailed product brochure for me to review with my wife.  I phoned him back the next day and we confirmed the exact door and window combination, Jeff updated his quote verbally and we agreed to the work.  The door had to be ordered.  Jeff explained the time frame for the order and phoned me as soon as he received the door.  We agreed to the day of the install.  Jeff's technician showed up exactly on time and started the work.  Jeff arrived as well and was onsite for the removal and installation.  They took great care in uninstalling the old door and installing the new door and opener.  The work was all complete by late afternoon.  Jeff and his technician walked me through all the new features of the opener and the door including all the new weather seal they had installed.  The door looks terrific, we couldn't be happier.  I highly recommend South Shore Garage Door to everyone.

One of the steel cables going over the pulleys had broken and as a result the door would not open. I had to leave for work and could not wait to schedule an appointment. Called a few garage door repair services, but nobody picked up the phone until Jeffrey did. He came within 45 mins and repaired the door in 30 mins. It was a pleasure to work with him. He is experienced and competent.
It's a no brainer that the services need to pick up the phone to get anyone's business.
