Established in 1994. After many years being in business, in July of 2007 we adopted new philosophy: "We should do only one thing, but we must do it really good." Since then, ductless mini split Systems, that is all we do! Carefully choosing right installers, constantly training, hand-picking quality materials and equipment - we want to make sure you get the best. By the end of 2008 we have installed more than 300 systems and became really proficient at it. That is because our technicians install ductless systems every single day (of course when weather permits). Extremely disappointed. I have used Richair to perform installations at multiple of my properties, spending ~$50,000 with them. At one of my properties a unit began leaking, damaging furniture and the antique hardwood flooring. We found the issue was that a drain pump had failed, and that the drain pump had incorrectly been installed so it would not turn off the A/C in the event of a drain clog (see photo of installation with this wiring cut off instead of wired into the unit). Despite the fact that I have used Richair for multiple installations, at high cost premium compared to the rest of the market, they refused to send a technician to investigate without a $195 fee. I even sent Richair the photos of the installation and offered to pay the $195 fee if they could put into writing that they would refund the fee should the problem be discovered to be related to their installation, and they would not even put that into writing for me. Karen at Richair is very friendly, helpful, and responsive, but her hands are tied by a greedy owner who does not look after his customers and is only interested in additional revenue. I will never get another installation from Richair again and will no longer refer work to them.

When I found the air not cooling I called Richair and they sent the tech. He tested the entire system and found it was the Front bedroom where the leak was due to a crack. He explained what happened, what needed to be ordered and replaced, gave me an estimate, I agreed then called the office to pay so the part can be ordered . He recharged the system so the other units could work properly. Four days later I received a call to say the part came in. We scheduled an appointment. Their tech cane and worked on the unit. He finished the job, caulked around the outside of the tube, replaced the covers , cleaned up everything . He explained the warranty on the work.! Everything is working superbly. Need installing or just maintenance and repair RichAir is the company to get the job done right!

It was installed in Feb 2019. I have had the system for a few months now and it works great. I originally bought if for the AC, but it also comes with a heater and dehumidifier. This is really good to have here in the Northeast US when the weather is unpredictable in the Spring. The heater worked great and I was able to lower my gas thermostat when it got chillier in the Spring, but not freezing. Then the weather would get hot a few days later and I would turn on the AC. Now it’s summer and the AC is powerful and quiet. I turn on the dehumidifier in the basement and it gets so cold I don’t even need to turn on the AC. The system is pricey, but I think worth the investment if you want overall comfort. I did notice that my electric/gas bill has gone down but this is only for the 4 months since I installed the system. I will see how it is during the summer when the AC is running often. The installation took a little longer than expected, but I feel Richair was thorough to ensure there were no leaks in the pipes. One think that surprised me when I first saw it installed was how the unit and piping look bulky on the exterior of my small house. But I’ve gotten used to it and feel the comfort inside outweighs the additions to the exterior. I’m happy I bought it!

They happen to be in our building and I ask for troubleshooting. Entered a ticket. They checked the roof top unit and refrigerant was fine but failed to bring a computer to trouble shoot the control panel. The whole purpose of the call was to figure out why when set a 70, AC doesn’t come on until 76. The only way to get temp is set at 68. Then sometimes it gets stuck on and you have to trick it off.

I have signed the contract with Richair Comfort Solution on Feb-14 2018 and the very next day I called Richair Comfort Solution to cancel this and I spoke to a man named Louis. We agreed on full refund as I was fully within cancellation rights and Mr. Louis advised me that it will take about a week for the refund to appear in my bank account. Since it didn't, I followed back again with Louis and he asked me to give it another few days. I have waited another week and since I still did not get my refund I called back and asked for Mr. Louis and at that time I was told that Louis is no longer with Richair Comfort Solution and I was transferred over to a manager Amanda where I explained the whole situation and Amanda mentioned she needs Regional Manager approval for this and will get back to me. Eventually refund was approved minus $310.15 for re-stocking fees. It took numerous emails back and forth between me and Amanda where I tried explaining this over and over again that I requested this to be cancelled the very next day with Mr. Louis when he was still with Richair Comfort Solution. Over the next 5 weeks this case is being escalated from Manager Amanda to Regional Manager to General Manager and eventually to owner Boris. Long story short they refused to issue me a full refund despite the fact that I requested this to be cancelled the very next day! I am very disappointed on Richair Comfort Solution tactics regarding this case and lesson learned here. When you need to cancel your order (even if it's the next day) don't just call them - you need to go over to them and request this in writing otherwise they will lie through their teeth and refuse to issue refund.

"The complaint was thoroughly investigated, and closed by BBB. Richair provided necessary evidence (phone calls log and receipts) to support that the customer was "not entirely honest". [Member Name Removed] K. cancelled the project one month(!) after acceptance of the contract. The delay was entirely caused by [Member Name Removed] repeatedly not answering phone calls made to schedule the job. The job was all staged and ready to go. We refunded his deposit within 7 days from [real] cancellation date (3/14/18), but withheld restocking fee. From start to finish, the project was flawless. We met with Peter who designed the appropriate system to meet our needs. He explained our options and the work schedule for the installation. The work went exactly as planned. The workers were able to coordinate with the electrician to ensure the wiring was sufficient for the system. Peter also recommended someone to remove the current through-the-wall room AC's and sleeves. This person also sheetrocked and painted, and bricked the exterior wall where the previous ACs had been. The entire project was completed in 5 days, just as planned. Richair' steam was meticulous in cleaning up each day when work was completed. A technician was scheduled to check the installation and also to explain to us how to operate it. We are so happy with the Mitsubishi system that's been installed. It's so quiet! It cools the rooms quickly! We can even activate our first floor unit remotely. It works like a charm! We are so happy that we used Richair for the install. Perfect from start to finish!
