It all went great. He was punctual, polite and answered all our questions. He finished in about 6 days, working everyday until
it was completed. He never left to go to another job. The job came out fabulous. He was clean and neat. And after it was
all done he thoroughly cleaned all areas and removed all the waste to garbage cans and to the curb.
I would absolutely use him again. He was a joy to talk to as well.
"We value all the comments of our customers, even when they are not representing the full story. When the member called me to do an estimate, I came to him the same day. The first thing I told him was about the condition of the walls. There were a lot of cracks, walls were not straight, the condition of the walls was terrible. It appeared the apartment had not been renovated for about 25 years, no skim coat or plaster, just a couple of layers of old paint. However all that the member authorized me to do was paint the apartment. He asked me which paint would I recommend; I recommended Benjamin Moore regal select flat (there were a lot of cracks, walls were not straight, condition of the walls was terrible). He chose the color of paint and asked me if I can buy it and deliver it to him, as he did not have a car. I did this at no extra cost to him. Friday evening I started to paint the apartment for couple of hours, then I came back Saturday early morning and finished at noon. The member was checking my job, and everything was great. He paid me and I cleaned the apartment, all the walls were dry. (It takes from 1 -2 hrs to dry the paint.) Sunday about 2 pm he sent me a text message saying that there are bubbles and lines on the walls, and I was in his apartment right away to look at the problem. Upon inspection, the apartment was in the same condition when I left the day before, but he was surprised by the real condition of the walls. I have been painting professionally for 14 years and he is the first customer who is not satisfied with my work. I take my customers’ concerns very seriously, so while I can identify potential problems beforehand and give my best advice on how to avoid them, based on my experience, if the customer does not wish to heed my advice then I must work with the material that is present in the apartment. I stand by my workmanship on every job but in this case the problem would be the responsibility of the owner of the apartment for not maintaining the condition of the walls."
He started bright and early on a Monday morning, my husband met him and gave him a set of keys to our apt. He finished as he estimated in about 3-4 days. I think he did it by himself. We met him on Thursday and everything was neat and clean. A lil dust on the door finishes but he showed us it easily came off with just some water and a towel. He was so friendly and nice, he left us a house warming gift, two bottles of wine.
All the lines look crisp and clean, and we're very happy with his job. We'd definitely recommend him to our friends!
No paint on anything but the surfaces he worked on. When he left the apartment it was spotless and he took his trash with him to dispose of off premises. My building staff had no additional cleanup. Not only would I use him again but plan to do so shortly.
As for price he is a bit high, but you get what you pay for. Prompt, clean, talented and well equipped to do the job.
He took all of his plastic bags and cleaned up . A friendly and courteous
young man.
He arrived on the start day right on time. He had all the supplies he needed such as ladder, tape and drop cloths. He worked straight through with hardly a break. PK was very friendly and easy to work with. He was extremely professional and focused about his work.
We were very happy with the job he did. In fact, impressed. It was such a professional job and it looks fantastic! We plan on using him again in the future and have recommended him to other people in our building.
The tenant filled in the holes but they had to be sanded down. The first floor living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen and bathroom were painted including the closets, doors, and molding. He filled in missing grout around the tiles in the bathroom's tub area. He also did some repair work on the main door to the building that had a gouge in the interior portion of the door's molding.
Mr. Kowalski then painted the basement apartment's living room, kitchen, and bathroom. He grouted the upper corner of the shower stall in the bathroom, and glued together a broken floor tile.
He was personable, pleasant, did great work in the apartments and the price he charged was less than from the previous painter I used who had painted the third floor in my building the month before. I was not there during the painting but was happy to see when I arrived at the apartment a few days later that he cleaned up after his work.
I would definitely use him again in the future. It was a pleasure to work with him.
