Called PK and he was able to squeeze us in over a weekend. We moved all the furniture to the middle of the room the night before. We'd purchased all the paint beforehand although we ended up having to purchase a bit more. We basically went out for most of the day, and when we came back, PK had done the entire living/dining room, kitchen and hallway. The next morning he came back to finish up the bedroom. He's was super fast, his work was excellent. He cleaned up thoroughly. Everything was left like new. Nice guy. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again!

This is my THIRD attempt to get a review for PK posted. Only putting in the effort because everything about this job went perfectly. I highly recommend PK - the work came out great. He was prompt, professional, quick and very neat!! The price was reasonable for the amount of work, we supplied the paints.

PK did an excellent job of taping, plastering and painting. He arrived on time every morning and cleaned up every day before leaving. The entire job was done in three days. It was a pleasure to work with him. We will be using him again.

It all went great.  He was punctual, polite and answered all our questions.  He finished in about 6 days, working everyday until

it was completed.  He never left to go to another job.  The job came out fabulous.  He was clean and neat.  And after it was

all done he thoroughly cleaned all areas and removed all the waste to garbage cans and to the curb.

I would absolutely use him again.  He was a joy to talk to as well.

Will never use him again. He sounded and looked professional and did the job quickly. Hours after he was done when the paint started drying all these paint bubbles blisters and lines appeared. I told him it looked awful and those were paint bubbles and were already starting to chip. He said he wasn't responsible and all he does is paint. He blamed it on my walls. There were no paint bubbles blisters or lines before he painted. He just kept blaming it on the quality of my walls. It looks awful. I could have just painted it myself if I knew this was going to be the quality of the job. He refused to do anything so my super is going to fix the blisters bubbles. What a waste.

Response from P.D.E. Painting
"We value all the comments of our customers, even when they are not representing the full story. When the member called me to do an estimate, I came to him the same day. The first thing I told him was about the condition of the walls. There were a lot of cracks, walls were not straight, the condition of the walls was terrible. It appeared the apartment had not been renovated for about 25 years, no skim coat or plaster, just a couple of layers of old paint. However all that the member authorized me to do was paint the apartment. He asked me which paint would I recommend; I recommended Benjamin Moore regal select flat (there were a lot of cracks, walls were not straight, condition of the walls was terrible). He chose the color of paint and asked me if I can buy it and deliver it to him, as he did not have a car. I did this at no extra cost to him. Friday evening I started to paint the apartment for couple of hours, then I came back Saturday early morning and finished at noon. The member was checking my job, and everything was great. He paid me and I cleaned the apartment, all the walls were dry. (It takes from 1 -2 hrs to dry the paint.) Sunday about 2 pm he sent me a text message saying that there are bubbles and lines on the walls, and I was in his apartment right away to look at the problem. Upon inspection, the apartment was in the same condition when I left the day before, but he was surprised by the real condition of the walls. I have been painting professionally for 14 years and he is the first customer who is not satisfied with my work. I take my customers’ concerns very seriously, so while I can identify potential problems beforehand and give my best advice on how to avoid them, based on my experience, if the customer does not wish to heed my advice then I must work with the material that is present in the apartment. I stand by my workmanship on every job but in this case the problem would be the responsibility of the owner of the apartment for not maintaining the condition of the walls."

We have a 2 BR apt with 1,000 sq ft of space that needed painting, that included base molding & crown molding, walls, and ceilings.  After he gave us the estimate, he started 3 days later.  He asked for a list of paint colors and which rooms/walls we wanted them on.  We reimbursed him for the paint supplies which were about $500.  A helpful hint is to have the painter get the supplies, they generally have discounts from their suppliers.  If we were to go out and buy it ourselves, it probably would've cost us about $800.
He started bright and early on a Monday morning, my husband met him and gave him a set of keys to our apt.  He finished as he estimated in about 3-4 days.  I think he did it by himself.  We met him on Thursday and everything was neat and clean.  A lil dust on the door finishes but he showed us it easily came off with just some water and a towel.  He was so friendly and nice, he left us a house warming gift, two bottles of wine.
All the lines look crisp and clean, and we're very happy with his job.  We'd definitely recommend him to our friends!

.He is the cleanest and most professional person I ever worked with. Came on time and got the job done in two days. My ceiling which was water damaged years ago and never properly repaired, is now like glass. I can't get the smile off my face. NO dust.
No paint on anything but the surfaces he worked on. When he left the apartment it was spotless and he took his trash with him to dispose of off premises. My building staff had no additional cleanup.  Not only would I use him again but plan to do so shortly.
As for price he is a bit high, but you get what you pay for. Prompt, clean, talented and well equipped to do the job.

We needed work done immediately and there wasn't time in his schedule to start for another week. In order to accommodate us, he hired a helper, showed up in the afternoon/evening for two days and got the work done in the time we needed it done.

It went great.  We contacted PK and he responded right away.  He came out in a couple of days to assess our apartment and gave us a quote that same night.  The quote was for a three day job but he ended up doing  everything in two days.  The amount sounded reasonable.  He was able to start the job right away.  He purchased the specified paint and we reimbursed him. We prepped the apartment beforehand, such as moving all the furniture to the center of the room, removing the drapes, etc.
He arrived on the start day right on time.  He had all the supplies he needed such as ladder, tape and drop cloths. He worked straight through with hardly a break.  PK was very friendly and easy to work with.  He was extremely professional and focused about his work.
We were very happy with the job he did.  In fact, impressed.  It was such a professional job and it looks fantastic!  We plan on using him again in the future and have recommended him to other people in our building.

I can not imagine using another painter as long as P.K. is available. He is very competent, professional and fast. I am very picky and he was very exacting and worked hard to make me happy. He is also uncommonly genial and good-natured.

Mr. Kowalski sanded all the holes in the walls that the previous tenant had hung picture hooks on.
The tenant filled in the holes but they had to be sanded down.  The first floor  living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen and bathroom were painted including the closets, doors, and molding.  He filled in missing grout around the tiles in the bathroom's tub area.  He also did some repair work on the main door to the building that had a gouge in the interior portion of the door's molding.
Mr. Kowalski then painted the basement apartment's living room, kitchen, and bathroom.  He grouted the upper corner of the shower stall in the bathroom, and glued together a broken floor tile.
He was personable, pleasant, did great work in the apartments and the price he charged was less than from the previous painter I used who had painted the third floor in my building the month before.  I was not there during the painting but was happy to see when I arrived at the apartment a few days later that he cleaned up after  his work.
I would definitely use him again in the future.  It was a pleasure to work with him.

We're in the middle of remodeling our kitchen, dinning room and floors.  After removing the wall paper from the kitchen walls and the old cabinets, we could see that the walls were in bad shape and needed to be repaired by a professional painter.  We hired P.D.E. Painting.  Przemylslaw Kowalski responded promptly to our call and arrived exactly on time for our initial meeting to scope out the work.  He offered us a very reasonable price to do all the work that needed to be done and we agreed upon a start date.  He arrived on time for each of the 3 days that he worked in our home.  When he first came, he carefully layed down a special plastic cover that lightly sticks to the carpet to protect our living room carpet, used a heavy duty paper to cover all of our cabinets, plastic covering to cover our applicances and to keep the debris contained within the room that he was working in.  He skim coated and sanded all of our kitchen walls and plastered and sanded parts of the walls in our dinning room where needed.  The walls came out looking like new sheetrock had been installed.  They were very smooth without any dents or marks.  We had two small sections of ceiling, which had been replaced with some sheetrock but not taped.  P.K. did an excellent job in taping them - the ceiling looked like one complete slab of sheetrock.  There was a section of our concrete wall above the sink where the splashback tile will soon be installed where the electricians had to drill to run two outlets.  This wall had been filled in with some plaster that was very soft.  P.K. strengthened this wall for us by using some mesh wire and a stronger joint compound mixture.  He did a fabulous job in painting our walls, woodwork, closet, and ceilings with two coats of paint in both the kitchen and dinning room.  He is the neatest, and fastest painter we ever saw.  He is very prompt, polite, courteous and does everything in a professional manner.  He completed the job in 3 days straight, worked very hard and hardly took a break.  We felt very comfortable having him work in our home.  He did such a great job that we decided not to present the 10% discount coupon from Angie's List, which would have saved us $250.  We felt that he deserved every penny for all the work that he did.  We were very pleased with the finished product.  We have already recommended him to some of our family members and friends who have work that needs to be done in their homes.  If you have walls or ceilings that are in bad shape or just need to be painted, P.K. is the man for the job!  We highly recommend him and we look forward to having him back again in the future to do other jobs in our home.  Thanks again P.K., for your excellent service!

PK came to my house and gave me a free estimate. He told me how long the job would take and was very competitive with his pricing, beating out 2 other companies on this site and a third from an outside source. He was also very quick with the estimate (same day) whereas all of the others took 2-3 days to get back to me with a verbal estimate. PK came in and painted the entire interior of my house. He did it in exactly the amount of time he said the job would  take. I wont hesitate to use PK for any future paint jobs I may have.

This painting experience was so wonderful. The painter, Pzremick, was quick, the cost was about half of another Angie's List Painter, and his quality was excellent. I would use him again in a heartbeat. His English...not so great, but he was so pleasant and patient that we could work around it.

We recently moved into a new townhouse in Brooklyn, and reached to PK on the 26th of December to schedule a home visit and get a quote. He worked his schedule to make time for us the next day (the 27th), and we were able to schedule the job for the 29th of December. This incredibly fast turnaround was greatly appreciated, and was a very pleasant surprise considering the time of the year (between Christmas and NYE). We had three rooms painted - living room, kitchen, and bedroom - and they did a terrific job. The attention to detail was great, and they kept in close contact with us throughout the day to make sure everything was going as planned. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Mr. Kowalski came by on Saturday and gave me a quote. I called him on Sunday to confirm that he got the job. On Monday evening he started, worked on Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening, and the job was done. He painted our living room, foyer, bedroom and 2 walls in the basement. We told him the colours we wanted and he got the paint. Mr. Kowalski was very friendly, professional and flexible. At some point we changed our mind about the colour for one of the walls, and one phone call and a follow up text with the colour number was enough to get it changed. Mr. Kowalski was very responsive to phone calls and text. I would hire him again.

Mr. Kowalski performed 2 jobs for me. The first was plastering several different sized holes throughout my house where an electricial punched through the walls and ceilings to update my electricity. Mr. Kowalski was able to do that job in one evening where the other plasterers wanted 2 days and several hundred dollars more. The second job Mr. Kowalski did for me was skim coating and priming 2 entire bedrooms and one hallway. His work was fabulous and he took pride in what he did. He was very concerned that when he left for the evening I would somehow mess up his walls, so my homework was to leave the walls alone until he came back the next day. He was punctual, pleasant and meticulous about his work. He did a week's work over a weekend. He worked 10 hours a day. I don't know that that is healthy, but he had to get the job done before he started another one on Monday.  I highly recommend this guy. I taught him a few choice English expressions too, but really his English is good.

My husband and I recently purchased an apartment that needed a professional paintjob.  The ceiling paint was cracking and yellow, and many areas of the walls need plastering and repair.  When I amulets P.D.E, Przemek emailed back right away and scheduled an appointment for an estimate.  He came the following day and gave me an estimate that evening.  He set to work the following week and finished three days before the scheduled time in order to accommodate my move in date.  He assured me that he would work overtime to make sure the apartment is clean for the move in date.  Throughout this process, he emailed with updates and photos and was always available when I had questions and concerns.  When my husband and I saw the apartment, it was immaculate.  Not only is Przemek super polite, the quality of his paint is superb.  We are very pleased with the overall job and have recommended him to our friends.
