 (except one we are still waiting for),  left out shelving for one of our utility cabinets, charged us for slide out shelving that we never ordered or wanted,  "forgot" to get us the drop down sponge holder on the sink cabinet, and did not give us enough filler pieces.

David's first choice when we came to him with the initial problems, was to be rude. The owner of the business never contacted us to apologize, and they insisted on full payment. Had we gone to one of the big box stores, and encountered these problems, we would have been given a discount for our inconvenience, and never been treated in a rude and condescending manner. We are still working on the installation ourselves, and will arrange for the granite countertops on our own. We refused to give this place any more of our business.

"this a response to the review posted by [member name removed] about the Cabinet Store. I will address each point as it appears in the review. The first is the design. THEY told me what THEY wanted, I put it down on paper for them to review and they okayed the design. I would not have designed the kitchen that way but my job is to give what they want. As far as measurements being off by 2" , I can't comment on that because the homeowner is doing the install. The delivery; the homeowner wanted to be home for the delivery (husband) and said he would help with the delivery. I then received an e-mail saying that he couldn't be home that day due to obligations at work. I went with our delivery guy and we delivered the cabinets. Me, insisting that payment be made in full was the agreement that we had with the homeowner. The store gets half down to order and the other half when the cabinets are delivered. Ig you go to a big box store you have to pay in full up front for them to order your kitchen. We had 3 cabinets that were backordered due to manufacturing issues. I intended to begin the install on Monday (cabinets were delivered on Friday) but the homeowner insisted that we do nothing until all of the product was present. They then stopped payment on the check for the second half of the cabinetry and now they 90% of the product with having paid for only half. Big box would have had all of your money already. The issue with the soft close drawers was my fault. I never denied that. I got them the soft close drawers at no cost to them. If a shelf was missing in one of the utility cabinets, that is manufacturing in Michigan. I have no control over packing in Michigan when I live in New York. The slide out shelving that they were charged for happened because origonally I had two roll-outs in two different initally that they decide that they didn't want. I clicked one roll-out out of each cabinet when I should have clicked twice.I wasn't trying to get something for nothing. The homeowners were credited for the cost of the two roll-outs and they kept the roll-outs. The tilt-out for the sponges on the front of the sink was dicussed and I said that the hinges that are used for the tilt-outs don't last and they become sloppy after a short period of time. The not enough filler pieces, again I can't comment on because we didn't do the install. I missed a statement about that for 2 weeks I did nothing about the backordered items, absolutely not true. I was on the phone every day with our cabinet rep to try to find out the issues. It was a manufacturing issue that I had no controll over. It took 2 weeks for them to give a tentative delivery date. They missed that date and several others. I was never rude to anyone throughout this entire process. Perception is individual. Enough said. If they had gone to a big box store they would have already paid in full so there is no guarantee that they would have gotten a refund. As far as rude and condescending, I was never either one of those. I apologized many times for the problems that where under my control and ones that weren't. Not good enough I guess but then some people are never happy......."

They did a good design job - making sure of many details but once we paid, they didn't respond to my concerns of damaged materials, they sent me doors that had glass added that were horrible, shelving was missing, needed extra doors, didn't indicate excessive costs before ordering.
