We called for an estimate for the patio, and our phone call was promptly returned, and an appointment was set up. Allen Broad arrived at the appointment on time, and spent a lot of time with us, going over what we wanted, and offered many useful options. He then went and accurately measured exactly what we would need. He then went out to his vehicle, and drew up a professional looking drawing, and gave us a price.
We decided to go with R. Broad, based on their superior reputation in this area. We did obtain two other quotes for this job, one being more expensive, and one less. Neither of the other concrete contractors gave us the impression that they were and quot;expertsand quot; in this type of application. NO Deposit was required for the job.
The crew arrived on the designated day, and we cannot believe the professionalism displayed while this work was done. They laid down a plywood path all the way from the road, back to the jobsite. NO Ruts left in the yard at all, and the back of the house was draped in plastic to protect the siding. The patio was done in one day, with a crew of about 7 guys.
The next day, they came back to complete the job, (saw cuts, staining,...).
The patio is stunning! Everything was done so meticulous. The owner, Bob, was on site from start to finish.
This has been a great experience. I can only say that if you want a professional job done, with no regrets, and want someone who knows what they're doing, go with R. Broad.
It may be a few more bucks then someone else, but you will end up being sorry if you don't choose R. Broad. We made that mistake seven years ago, using another local contractor, (Lund Concrete). Boy, was that a sorry mess. But that's another story...
