hours was enough time. Owner said they would stop work at 4 hours or the extra cost for 1 hour of cleaning- would be $50.00 man/hr. I said OK extra $50.00 would be ok if needed. The actually cleaning took 3 1/2 hours. The owner arrived to pick up the 2 cleaning people and said it would cost me extra $150.00. I was upset about the extra cost and expressed my unhappiness. He said it was for $50 man hour (I guess I did not understand "MAN HOURS"). This is the 3rd cleaning services I have tried or used that offered a discount but either they never shown-up, cost extra money or did a bad job. I purchased this deal because it said $199 for 4 Hours of Cleaning and that what I expected. I do not feel the owner was clear about the extra cost "MAN HOURS".
Today there were crumbs on the floor, dust on my furniture, and nothing had even been moved on several side tables.
There is food in the garbage can in the kitchen and no garbage bag replaced. The toilet was not scrubbed. There was a complete layer of dust on the chair rail downstairs and a rug in the entryway was not vacuumed at all. There was an actual candy wrapper and piece of paper on the floor of the kitchen.
I was most disappointed by the fact that when I finally had enough and said I would have to stop using them, the owner did not seem to care that I was so upset, and did very little to try and keep me as a customer.
"We have cleaned this customer's home 50 times since February 2013. There was one redo clean during this time and couple of visits to clarify what do we need to do differently with this house. We clean houses, but we don't organize toys or wash dishes. We agreed to do more detailed work on weekly basis in her living room and master bedroom. I explained her what we do in general clean and what is done extra in detail cleans. E.g we wipe furniture during detailed clean, unless customer want to have it done more frequently (what we agreed on with living room couch). We address all complaints about the cleans with redo if customer allows it. With this last complaint I wasn't given a chance to check or redo the clean. Customer told me there's nothing I can do to keep her as a customer. She wanted to get a discount and we agreed on that. After that, complaining about something I had no way to verify or correct is not fair."
