They are cheats. We specifically chose and paid for a 10-year warranty water heater (that was recommended by Consumer Reports). We paid extra for the longer 10 year warranty. After it was installed and we were putting away the paperwork, we somehow noticed that the model did not match what we had ordered (even though it was by the same water heater manufacturer). It was installed in 12/04. Turns out Expert Services gave us a 6-year warranty water heater. When we called up to ask them to fix it, they said they put in a 6-year warranty water heater and we'll cover the last 4 years! Can you believe it?! At that point, they wouldn't replace it and so we made them write out that they will cover us for the remaining 4 years but who wants to have a company that cheats you come and fix something. Well, now 2 years after they installed it, the water is barely heating. We are having them come in to fix it even though I would prefer to use another company. Let's see what they do.

I could not even tell you all the things they did to try to diagnose what ended up being the village problem. We spent $1000 dollars trying to diagnose it. If we had not of figured out it was the village problem, we would of ended up spending $30000 to dig up a hole that was not our problem. This company just kept coming back saying it was this and it was that. I have told everyone that I know not to use them.

I have a monthly contract with them which covers maintenance. They are always on time and know what they are doing. I have found them to be very reliable and responsive to my calls. It is good to know that they are always ready and willing to come when they are needed.

I think that this company was recently taken over by new owners because the service has declined significantly over the past year. I have a service contract for heat and plumbing with Expert that is supposed to give me priority service and discounted service fees. One evening, about 4 - 5 months ago, I had no hot water. I called the company and the plumber was extremely rude, berating me on the phone and complaining I should have called him earlier. The owners later apologized and gave me a credit. Then, I had a toilet that didn't work and had a different plumber come out to fix it. A few months later, the toilet was having the exact same problem. When I called Expert and explained the situation, they said they could send someone, but I'd have to agree to a $49 service call fee plus any other costs the plumber assessed. I felt this was unfair, because it was the same problem they just fixed. A different company came to fix the toilet and was appalled by the previous work done.

Within 17 days, the heater stopped working. I called office, & was told the warranty would be honored. He returned, charged me $158.88 for service/diagnosis, and said it was the thermostat & aquastat and that he'd have to return to fix it but I had to pay for a part in full/up front & I needed to talk to office about warranty. I told him I should be credited for the $284.48 since the heater was not repaired properly, the first time, within warranty. I said I'd pay 1/2 of the part up front. I called office. They said only he could honor the warranty, then they tried to appease me with a $50 credit. When he came back a 3rd time with the part, he charged $732.13 (that included 1/2 the part that was put on my credit card with the previous charges)and he refused to honor the warranty. He said,''Your lucky you got the $50''. I didn't sign invoice line that said, ''satisfied with work.'' At that point I contacted my credit card for dispute. They gave me the $284.48 back as a policy adjustment

I'VE USED THEM FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS NOW AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS OR BAD EXPERIENCES. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON-TIME, EASY TO WORK WITH AND HAVE GREAT PRICES.

THEY ARE ALWAYS PROMPT, AND THEY CLEAN UP WHEN THEY MAKE A MESS. THEY HAVE TOLD US WHAT TO USE ON THE SINK TO PREVENT BUILD-UP. THE PEOPLE ARE ALL VERY GOOD. THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY WILL STAY OFF THE CARPET AND CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS.
