This was our first septic tank servicing. Evans Septic was easy to schedule, polite on the phone, timely in person, and no hassle. Pricing seemed okay. (I understand smaller septic tanks are $50 less.) No one tried to up-sell us on any unnecessary services which was refreshing. Seems like a nice family owned and operated business.

Everything was perfect. We called in the morning, and they were at our home by noon. We are very happy with the service and will use them again.

One day I come home and I see a note from my cleaning lady that my toilet downstairs was clogged. The toilet had flooded and my carpet was wet. I noticed that sewerage was coming up from the shower and another toilet downstairs. Figured I had a septic problem that would cost tons of money. Called around a couple of septic places but none could come you right away. When I called Evans they said they could be out the next day. They came the next day and pumped to septic tank. Then tested it and found that there was still a clog. They open the main trap and found paper towels clogged in there. They removed them and got it working again. They only charged me for pumping the septic. I have only used them since.

I had first scheduled a company that was highly rated on Angie's. After poking around for awhile, the 2 men were unable to locate the tank cover, even with the blueprints, and left. I then called the builder of my house asking for advice. He recommended Evans. I called immediately and Charlie and his son were able to come later that day. They both were very pleasant and professional and were determined to find the cover. It took some extra work, but they found it (only several feet from where the other guys had been looking) and only about 1 foot deep. Problem solved.

On the first visit, they dug around the yard some and were not successful in locating the tank. So, they proceeded with sticking my garden hose down the vent pipe at the side of the house and then pulled it back up. They left the hose like this and the last three feet was covered in sewage. This was completely unacceptable as they never asked if they could do so. I called the office to complain and Charlie Evans stated that he would use this technique but wipe the hose down afterwards. Really, just a wipe off. I used a bleach solution to clean off the house, which was a nasty mess. They were then supposed to come out again to locate the tank with a flushable device, but had to order more of the devices. After a few weeks, I contacted them to find out what was going on and guess what, they had just come in! I scheduled for them to come out and I took the day off work. The morning of the scheduled visit, no one came. I called and Charlie apologized that he had a family emergency. I completely understand that but they should have contacted me. I have never called back and went with another contractor who was much, much better. They charged me $135 but never really did anything successful.
