I inquired about a quote for a paver patio. Ellen came out on July 21st and took some measurements and we discussed what we wanted to do. She took some notes, but had no samples of pavers or even a catalog to go over options. She said that she would have a quote for us by the end of the following week which would have been July 30. No quote. I waited until Tuesday August 3rd and inquired about an update for the quote and she has yet to respond and it is August 6th. We are going with someone else. Very unprofessional and disappointing. I do not recommend this company. If this is how they handle getting a quote to someone, it does not instill confidence in their company or their work.

Excellent job. Jeremy designed the area just as we had asked. He listened to everything we said and incorporated it all into a great design. Justin and Rob did a wonderful job with the excavating and building of the retaining walls.  We were home every day of the project and could see how much work goes into the exact placement of the stone, the drainage, the mesh for the retaining wall and leveling of the walls. They also put in a new stone walkway to the front porch and a stone area outside the walkout basement door.  Cameron did the stone edging and with his crew of Evan and John, did all the plantings.  I couldn't be happier with the results.

In 2012, Twin Oaks designed a new look for the front of our house. This included a new parking area with 3' stone wall and about 20 new bushes. The results were fantastic! Unfortunately, 2012 was a drought year and some of the bushes did not survive. This year Twin Oaks replaced the brown bushes with green bushes. Now the front of our house is Super Fantastic!

Our installation was not your typical installation in that it was being installed over the top of a previously installed concrete patio that was installed by another contractor who did a horrible job. Twin Oaks had to correct a slope on our patio that was over 11 inches from one side of the patio to the other. This was a very time consuming process which involved installing a mini retaining wall around the outside of the existing patio which would then hold in all of the new material that they would be installing to fix this slope issue. In addition, because we were using natural stone, each individual stone needed to be leveled before installing the next piece, which was a very time consuming process. When it was all said and done, the patio turned our wonderfully and we could not be happier with the finished product that Twin Oaks provided us.

The project was completed in two phases. The first phase consisted of the site excavation, overall layout and the construction of the stone retaining walls. A large blue stone section was elevated above the existing grade by about 18 inches. This was done to avoid disturbing tree roots of nearby red oak trees. Several ton of fill was required. The fill was well compacted and left to sit for the winter months. The second phase was completed in the Spring. In this phase, 900 sq ft of Pennsylvania blue stone was laid along with 500 feet of cobblestone pavers. The same crew worked on both phases of the project. The foreman was/is a very talented landscape professional and took a personal interest in the construction of the patio.

We've used Twin Oaks Lawn a number of times before. The thing we like about them is that they give us good ideas and good input as to how we might best landscape our home. They don't just do a monotonous job. We are very pleased.
