Mark and his crew did an excellent job on this project. The new retaining wall looks great, and after one winter of freezing and thawing nothing has settled or shifted at all. During the first meeting to discuss the design Mark worked with us to understand the look we wanted, and made a number of design suggestions for durability and appearance. The design needed to hold the weight of the driveway and cars so large blocks and reinforcements were used. The price was very reasonable, and we were given a time schedule for project start and finish which they stayed very close to. Communications during the project were excellent, and the guys were very meticulous in getting everything just right. Construction was all per the manufacturer?s recommendations with a compacted crushed stone base, crushed stone backfill, and pins to hold the blocks in place. When they finished the wall, they raked and seeded the surrounding area, and took away all remaining debris. It was a pleasure having Graf?s Landscape do this work and given the way they installed it I?m sure it will last and look great for many years. Mark is an amazing landscaper.  He has original ideas, and he works hard to keep his design within budget.  He is a small operation, but he has all equipment necessary to complete complex projects.  Mark is knowledgeable, creative, and gives attention to details.  We felt like he was landscaping his own property because of his care and attention.  Mark 's business is building, so it may take time for him to return to tie up loose ends, but he is worth the short wait.  Our results were extraordinary!

Although the brickwork was satisfactory, the sod that was pieced around the new walkway was installed poorly and I stepped in a hole and broke my ankle, leaving me with a permanent injury.  It took a threat of potential insurance/legal problems for the owner to replace some of the sod but he did not address the area where I broke my ankle and so I had to hire another landscaper to redo his work.

It will be 3 months before I can resume my normal physical activities and I will have to do physical therapy every day for the rest of my life.

They are prompt, contract calls for service after any 3 inch snowfall. They come early in th morning. My driveway is 20 x 60 ft. The truck is in here for no more than 2 min. My needs are for easy access to and from my garage. That need is met. It is not the cleanest, most thorough job one could expect, but more than adequate. I feel their seasonal price ($230 +tax) is high given the plunge is gas prices since I signed the contract. I would expect that next year they would adjust accordingly. They do limited turf repairs in the spring as needed.
