Have been using Crawford since the 1960’s. Family owned, you can’t find better vets to care for your pets. Alan & Gary Baum along with Gary’s son, Josh, have been wonderful through the years & i wouldn't think of going elsewhere. They are compassionate, caring, professional, and fairly priced. You won't regret taking your pet there whether for basic care, surgery, or emergency needs. No appointment necessary during open hours, but they will accommodate special needs.

Overall, it went well. I was dealing with fading puppy syndrome for some of the puppies and the vet was direct and supportive with the best course of action. Most of the puppies tails were done correctly, but one or two seemed off (skin too short for tailbone), which is taking longer to heal. They simply need to stitch those that look off. I would still highly recommend these veterinarians. They are honest, fair, professional, and reasonable. Thank you!

They were overall excellent. They were very fair on the price, they were very knowledgeable, professional. They are responsive because they are sending emails reminding me of when I have to take him back for his rabies shots and that kind of stuff. I would give them an all around A.
He got all of his shots, including rabies, which I thought was great because I've priced it before. They also did something with his teeth.

The surgery went very well. Bailey is slowly recovering and is going through physical therapy. He's acting more like the pre-ACL tear happy dog that we adopted from North Shore.
Dr. Alan Baum really cares about the animals AND families he works with and gives all the treatment options along with his advise. I give him my HIGHEST rating and I'm sorry I did not know about him earlier. If you have an animal that you love, you will not go wrong with him as the vet. He also has his brother, Gary, and other members of the family as vets in the practice.

They are all legal, licensed vets in there and we have been using them for many years. We have always had good results with them. There are two brothers and a son who are in there and they offer very good care. Their names are Gary and Allen Baum; they are the licensed vets. They are highly recommended. They are reasonably priced, have good care and offer boarding services. They are not surgery happy and are sort of holistic, as best you can call it.

'I have used Crawford Animal Hospital for care of my cats and boarding for more than 10 years. My latest kitten was approximately 4 months old when I took her to Crawford to be spayed and FIV tested. Rabies vaccine was also administered. When I picked her up and asked for the cost, I expressed disappointment at the amount. As I made my payment for services rendered Dr. Joshua Baum directed the receptionist to apply a 10% discount, even though I never asked for one. This expression of good will was much appreciated.

This is the only Veterinarian group - 2 brothers and a son - which genuinely cares about you and your pets.
I've been to many vets - long island, nyc, and upstate.
Before finding the Baums - the others became arrogant, not compassionate, and misdiagnosed several times
causing the early death of 2 of my pets.
Even the highest rate Vets on Long Island and upstate were negligent. If you have an extremely serious
condition requiring laser surgery than I would recommend a Vet in Plainview.
But for everything else - this family of vets is the only place I would trust.
(I would not recommend the vaccinations as no pet requires any vaccine more than 1x in a lifetime.
Legally acceptable is to get titers and your pet will live longer.)
Overall this Veterinarian family puts animals above the cars they drive.
They are not inexpensive but if you take a look around - their humble office
speaks volumes of their true nature.
I don't write reviews but I wrote for this one b/c they are consistently great.

They follow up after your pet comes in. They're very accomodating - they'll meet you even if they're closed and it's an emergency. If there's something wrong with your pet, you can call for verbal recommendations before bringing the pet in. It's a family owned business and they're really great. They go above and beyond to make sure your pet is taken care of. They even take the new pet insurance. I would never go anywhere else.

Gary Baum is a highly educated vet (cornell's school of veternarian medicine).
He is compassionate, personable and he listen and spends time with his patient and owner.
The office is very busy, you can walk-in without an appointment and the wait can range from 5-20 minutes.
He is old school with comtemporary knowledge and a great diagnostician.
His charges are very reasonable and times he will not charge for certain services--he is a nice person and an experienced doctor.
We travel from Bayside, N.Y. to Lynbrook, N.Y. which is quite a distance, but well worth seeing a doctor you can trust.
He is compassionate, personable and he listen and spends time with his patient and owner.

Dr. Crawford is the vet I see. My dog wasn't used to people or other animals and Dr. Crawford totally calmed him down. His prices were great. He gave me good advice and was very good with my dog.

It went fine. She was examined closely. She was given preventive shots for her overall health. They also checked to see if she had chips or tattoos. They are good with the pets. In addition they are very patient with the owners. They also don't put animals to sleep unless it is absolutely necessary. I trust them with any of my pets for all reasons.

I love Crawford. Ive been bringing my cat there for over a year now for all of his initial and routine vaccinations. I've seen all the doctors at one visit or another, and they are all professional, courteous, and friendly. They work on a walk-in basis for the most part and I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to be seen (a huge change from my last vet). I think their prices are about standard for a good vet but even if they're a bit higher, I think the quality of service and care is worth it.

I find them to be very good doctors but very expensive. They provide excellent care to my pet. They care and share with you what they are doing everyday and keep you up-to-date for the last 24 hours. I would continue to use Crawford Animal Hospital again in the future.

I took my two Yorkshire Terriers in for grooming. Their hair was very knotty and coarse, I asked that they be given puppy cuts (very short), to help keep them cool for the summer. Mary (the groomer) did an excellent job. She keeps the pets calm while she grooms them.

Our cat vomited up a live worm, so we brought her in. No appointment was necessary, and we didn't have to wait long on this weekday evening. The veterinarian saw a worm in the stool sample I brought in, administered a worm treatment, and told us that we'd have to come back in three weeks for a follow-up treatment. We brought her back in three weeks later (again without an appointment on a weekday night) and had an even shorter wait that time. This time they administered the treatment, plus they weighed her and clipped her nails. They were very nice, and I loved the convenience!

The last time I took her there, they gave her regular shots as scheduled. I initially had been to them in an emergency situation, I happen to call them and they answered but since then they have always taken good care of her. Their prices are aligned with everybody else's. She likes the doctor there as well as like animal would like a doctor. Usually I get an appointment in the late hours during the weekend. So it is pretty convenient.
