Avista Flooring

The work was done well. We love the newly installed floor and our bedroom. The stair treads were in pretty bad shape with a lot of deep gouges and unfortunately not all of them came out. I should have picked up on it prior to the stain going on but I missed it. They were pretty punctual and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves considering how much sanding was done. There should have been better communication on both ends as to our access to the upstairs after the first coat of polyurethane was applied as we needed to remain off the floors for 8-10 hours. Overall a job well done.

Avista Flooring arrived promptly at the time they gave  me. My husband showed them the bedroom. They brought in equipment and got started after I took a look at the contract. I had scheduled via phone and Avista was the only flooring company which gave me a price quote over the phone. I did not get a written estimate before the appointment or have a person take a look at the floor before going with them. I left messages with two other A rated flooring companies close by from Angie's List. These companies did not call back nor left a message. (Maybe I scared them when I left a detail message and the job was too small for them. This surprised me of these companies.)  
It was nice speaking with the office manager and scheduling what will be done and picking the stain color from a list on their website. The office manager explained the process. 
The two workers who came as scheduled started work and completed job quickly and efficiently. They explained to me that one particular stain would not come off and I understood because it was a pretty bad stain. 
On the second day, they arrived on time at the time they gave me and finished the last coat of poly.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Joe and Avista flooring.  Our plumbers referred us to them after another flooring company took our deposit and jerked us around for months.  We called Joe, who had just had a baby a couple days prior, to give us a quote.  The next day he was at our house, the wood was delivered by Thursday, and the floor was installed by the following Thursday.  He knew all we had gone through with our previous flooring contractor and how long we had been waiting, to no avail, and made the process as quick and stress-free for us as possible. He is the most responsive, professional, fair contractor we've ever worked with, and we couldn't be happier with the flooring.  Having a brand new floor in one day is a huge bonus, and his prices are very fair and affordable.  It also means a lot to see an owner of a company installing projects himself.  Do yourself a favor and use this company!!!

They came when they were supposed to. They called prior to arriving to remind me of the appointment. They did a super job. I highly recommend their service.

When Joe came for the estimate, he was very professional and knowledgeable with his products. His team were courteous, cooperative and dedicated to their craft. Could not be happier with the service Avista Flooring provided. I would highly recommend them to all friends and family.
