George Bella Architect

Description of Work: This architect was recommended by the company who did my survey. I was hit with hurricane Sandy. I also was hit with hurricane Irene. Whatever Irene did not take, Sandy took. George Bella came to my house and looked around. Explained he was busy. I waited for almost two months. I am living with my sons. He did not submit a bill to me nor a timeline. I finally got fed up and hired another company who is orchestrating everything. What a difference. Mr. Bella has not returned my money or any portion of it. I was hoping for at least half. I don't believe he did anything but request a copy of survey. Since I hired him two months ago I did not sleep a decent night. He is very arrogant and unsympathic to the plight. Don't use him. Architect came to my house when he was overbooked with clients. I waited a month and heard nothing from him. Expected me to wait and still cash checks. Finally told him that I wanted to get another architect. George did not give me a bill or projection or approximate timeline. He told me to find another architect when I pressed him for the latter. He finally refunded money and kept $650 for what he called "architectural work". I did not get a drawing or sign a contract. I would like the $650 back as well. I had a month of sleepless nights and his bedside manner for clients is nonexistent. He is arrogant and egotistical. It gets in the way of his performance. Stay clear of this architect.
