First, i was happy with the electrical skill the electrician exhibited while working on my kitchen. My issue is with the process,
perceived deception by the company.
During the walk-through - the owner suggested i have the electric work inspected - more so for safety reasons - he made it sound reasonable so I agreed. The inspection would be performed by an inspector from the township in which my local town rolls up to. He said the fee for the inspection would be $200-$30 tacked onto my invoice.
After the electrical wiring was installed, the electrical inspection was scheduled - but when that day came, the inspection was canceled. Instead, the electrician from All Good took pictures of the wiring using his smart phone. He said the pictures would be sent to the inspector who can tell by the pictures - He then affixed a yellow sticker to my kitchen window indicating the inspection.
Also, while making a hole for high hats, the electrician's hammer broke through to the other side and damaged a finished wall on the other side of where the electrician was working... making two holes the size of a half dollar. This caused me a day of spackling and painting an entire hallway which was not planned - Not to mention the money i spent on new paint. (the hallway was last painted 6 years ago and i did not have touch up paint).
during the billing process, i had to remind All Good 3 times to apply the advertised "angies" discount.
Also, i asked if they had any process to review or compensate for the wall they damaged. - they totally blew that off and avoided responding to me about this.... not even a "we're sorry about that" - lastly and finally, I asked why i had to pay for the inspection if the inspector never really came out to my home... i didn't consider that a valid inspection - They told me they have a very long standing relationship with the electrical inspection agency- that is why the pictures were sufficient for the rough inspection. They said he will be visiting my home to do a final inspection once they let them know the work was completed 100%. Well the work was complete for over a month and i never heard again from All Good. To add, this was not what the electrician told me when he was taking pictures.
On Dec 5th - the work was complete - i wrote and asked for some follow up - I never received a response from All Good.
I gave it a month - it was holiday season - so i waited then called and wrote them again on the 29th of December -
asking when will the inspection be taking place - I still didn't hear back from All Good. On January 8th i sent a final email letting them know i was no longer waiting for them - i was considering the business with them closed. Actually, my last business is writing this review.
In summary - they weren't cheap - I expected more for the money i paid them.
They presented themselves as professional - The electrician who was coming to my home was skilled - the damage to the wall was an accident - I don't blame him - mistakes happen with everything but the company had no interest in discussing this with me which was not professional of them. They did almost all of what they promised except for the inspection which I paid for and they did not deliver on. For what i paid, they really didn't need the extra $200/$300 they charged for the inspection.
Paul had alot of work to do to get the old fan out but worked very hard and carefully to get it out without damaging the sheetrock.
He had the new fan wired up and working within a half hour.
Very professional.
I have another job that he quoted on and is scheduled to do this week.
Very pleased.
