Mark is my mechanic. I trust him completely with my vehicle repairs. He is really good at diagnosing problems and fixing them. Fair, Honest and Trustworthy.

For a few weeks previous to 1/17/14 my check engine light in my car was on. I checked oil and transmission fluids, so I knew it wasn't that. I called Mark the morning of 1/17 and asked if I might stop in. He said yes. He came out and hooked up his diagnostic tool. Two fault codes came up. He was able to clear the codes legally.

Mark, at Rapids Truck and Auto, checked all brakes and told me that the brakes were fine and that I had at least another year with them. He recommended cleaning off rust build up from front and rear brake pads, hardware and caliper mounting brackets, and rear rotors. Upon discussing it with me, I agreed. He proceeded to clean the above mentioned brake parts.
He estimates the front brake pads have 70% lining remaining and rear pads have 40% lining remaining.
If I had believed the dealer it would have cost me much more.
