We needed to build an accessible home as my husband who was disabled by a stroke. Rick helped us find the perfect location, choose an outstanding builder, and select a bank and a real estate lawyer for the closing. He is extremely responsive to texts and emails as well as being readily accessible by phone. He is personable, competent and hard working. He answered all of our questions and held our hands throughout the project. You couldn't find a better agent!

From the moment I contacted him, I knew Rick was the agent for me. Even before he had a contract with me, he was willing to offer advice. Rick did a great job of keeping me updated on the status of my home's sale ~ this was especially appreciated as I moved to the west coast two months after my house went on the market. Rick was an especially excellent agent to have as an expat of NYS ~ I felt complete confidence in leaving the sale in his capable hands. He has a great network of others related to real estate, and it appears very much to be his life's work ~ this is important as it seems so many others are "part-timers". Oh, AND he is an excellent photographer ~ Rick took beautiful photos of my home. He didn't just take them at a time convenient to him ~ didn't take them all on one day because he happened to be in the city. He assured that it was a sunny day....or that the light was just right to best display the hardwood floors...or that there was a blue sky as a back drop...etc. Rick is awesome ~ I highly recommend him!

My house is currently on the market.  In working with Rick, it is beautifully represented in pictures (Rick is GREAT with taking pictures ~ made several trips to the house to capture the best shots of it) and description on the MLS.  Though I've moved out-of-state for a new job, I feel extremely secure in knowing that my home and it's sale are in Rick's capable hands.

We had such a great experience with our Coldwell Banker agent in Florida when we purchased a home there, I went to Angie's List to find a highly-recommended realtor in Central New York to help us with the sale of our home.  Rick had 17 top ratings so I called him.  Imagine my surprise when he answered his own phone and we chatted for 45 minutes.  He made the 25 mile trip the next day to meet with us and go through our home.  We hired him on the spot and have been very, very satisfied with that decision.

After deciding to accept an out of state job transfer, the next step was to get our home on the market. Being a subscriber of Angie's list, I looked at the realtor reviews and saw that Richard had great ratings. I called Ric and we met at our home. He gave excellent advice of what could be done to make my house more marketable, and I took his advice. Ric listed our home in late November. Ric wrote a great description of our home and took really good pictures of the interior and exterior. The pictures really showcased our home and we were very happy with them. Ric advertised an open house in the newspaper referencing the url Internet address, and a potential buyer liked the Internet photos enough to attend the open house. The buyer felt comfortable with Ric and had Ric write up an offer, which we accepted. The next step was the home inspection which brought some issues to light and negotiations resumed, which Ric handled very professionally. Ric introduced me to contractors who provided estimates of the work to be completed. All of this was completed and the sale closed in February. I can't say enough good about Ric. A very professional, competent, and warm individual. I strongly recommend him to anyone in the Syracuse area.

The services provided by Rick were excellent, and I appreciated his proactiveness in finding a buyer for our house within two weeks after it hit the market.  Rick was responsive in keeping us informed on the status of the sale and was also helpful in suggesting some of the minor improvements we made to the house before placing it on the market.

I cannot begun to explain the relief I feel since beginning to work with Rick.  After moving, my home was damaged by water following a furnace malfunction.  For months I had been dealing with contractors who had botched the job and caused more damage.  I was at my wits end.

I had to sell my house while working in another state, and was very concerned that it might be an impossible feat.  I found Rick on Angie's List and retained him to sell my home in Liverpool, NY.  He paid attention to the little things, like removing branches and pruning bushes/trees, enlisting the help of his son to get my property picture perfect.  He took plenty of photos of the property, created a slide show and ensured I was listed on every available realtor site.  He also held three Open Houses on three consecutive weekends to increase the throughput for the my property.  Within days of my home going on the market, dozens of new homes with similar search parameters hit the market all at once, and for much lower prices.  I knew immediately that I would have to adjust my home price to fit the market, and did so with Rick's guidance.  In a matter of a couple of weeks following the price adjustment, my home received a cash offer and closed in only two more weeks.  From initial listing to final closing, the process took approximately 2 1/2 months.  Overall I was thrilled with the results, thanks Rick!

Rick!  We were very impressed with Rick Wilbur!                                                                                                                                              Rick was everything my wife and I had hoped for in a Realtor. We thought buying and selling a house would be a nightmare; but then we met and hired Rick Wilbur and finally there was light at the end of the tunnel. Right away it was easy to see that he loves his job and is truly good at it. He made it a point to get to know us, and find out what we were really looking for; and when we looked at houses Rick was so personable, and enthusiastic. My wife and I really enjoyed his friendly company and professionalism. He was always knowledgeable and informative about the houses, and he has a keen eye for details. Rick did an amazing job in all aspects! My rental property was not attractive. I had tried to sell it with previous realtors listing it, walking clients through, urging me to drop my asking price and after 4 months, then finally removing it from the market. First thing Rick informed me was that he was a full-time realtor and would devote himself fully to selling my property. He also told me if I really wanted to sell it, I had to make it attractive and do whatever it takes to sell it. So I bit the bullet and had a new roof and new siding put on. Rick took some amazing photos of the place for the listing. What a difference! Within a month I had accepted an offer within 5k of my asking price with no contingencies and my tenant could stay on!

Now it would be a happy story if it ended there, but unfortunately, the closing was delayed another 3 months due to some banking technicalities. Rick was there all the way, providing sound advice and jumping in to push the process along whenever we encountered a snag. During this wait, I was living out of town, but Rick kept watch over the place. When problems developed with the unit's heating system I contacted a local HVAC repairman, but after two unsuccessful service calls, I still had no heat. Not able to be there in person and in desperation, I called Rick. He offered to come over with his repairman and try to fix the problem. After a few hours and a new $30 motor, I had heat. I could not believe that any realtor would go to that length to help his client!

My mother recently had to be moved to an assisted living center, and I was tasked with selling her home of over 50 years. There were a number of challenges - the home was built in the 1800's, I live out of state, etc. I contacted Rick Nestico during my visit to the area and asked if he could meet me with on very short notice. Rick dropped everything he was doing, and met me at the home with only a couple of days notice. He worked with me to get everything in order, and was in constant contact me as we worked through the process. The home was listed during one of the worst times of the year, late November, and we actually had an offer in just over 30 days. Rick took care of everything in a prompt, fair and professional manner, and made this difficult process as smooth as possible. In the year 2013, I can honestly say the best decision I made was e-mailing Richard to enquire about obtaining his services. My wife and I had our house listed with another agency and representative for 4 months with limited foot traffic, contact, and staging advice; it was time for a change. This is where the two way street is important. You have to be open to putting in a little work and to listen to his advice. In return Richard brought in flood lights to get the best possible pictures, kept in consistent contact, provided a fantastic online listing, and ultimately helped us get a contract to sell signed in only 3 months. Winter time in Central New York is a frozen wasteland when it comes to selling homes and believe it or not, we had a contract signed the week of Christmas, unbelievable. Rick is the best real estate agent in Syracuse. From beginning to end he went out of his way to get my house ready, take all the photographs for the website posting, did some troubleshooting when I ran into a problem, and was proactive and responsive any time I needed anything. My house just closed and I wanted to let everyone know how great my realtor was. Don't waste your time with anyone else.

Rick worked hard for us, was professional, and the communication was excellent. He was very pleasant, and gave us many great tips that I am sure increased buyer interest. It took several months for the house to sell, but a large part of that was the slow market.

Rick was able to find a house for us very quickly with everything we wanted. He showed about 10 houses to us the first day and one of the last ones we saw is now the house we are purchasing. He answered all of our questions and concerns from being first-time home buyers.
