Nick's Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling

We originally reached out to Nick based on a referral. As new homeowners, it was important for us to find someone that we felt we could trust, and we found that to always be the case with Nick and his team. They made the entire process far easier than we ever imagined a kitchen remodel could be. Nick is professional, organized, communicative, honest, and went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with every element of the project. We LOVE our new kitchen and felt that the team really delivered the highest quality services while being very reasonably priced compared to other quotes that we received. Nick and his crew did a GREAT job for us. We had a bathroom remodel done by another contractor a couple years ago, and went with an acrylic shower base rather than a mud base. The acrylic base was not supported properly and it squeaked when you stepped on it, which was immensely annoying. Nick came over and gave me a price to remove the acrylic base and install a properly supported mud tile base. This was one of the smoothest home improvement projects I've ever had done. Put simply, Nick and his guys just show up and work. They don't complain about how the last person did a poor job as so many home improvement professionals do. Clean and meticulous - they put down drop cloths all the way going up to the bathroom from the front door and cleaned up the bathroom each night before they left. They also swept up the garage where they were cutting wood. The shower now feels rock solid with a concrete base and my only regret is we didn't call Nick sooner. Last, the whole crew was super nice to my 4 year old son who loves to chat and get in the way, and that meant a lot to me. I will use Nick for any and all kitchen and bath issues I have moving forward - period. I'm already talking to him about replacing the vanity in my powder room. Thanks Nick for a job well done. This is the second project we had Nick do in our house in 10 months. This time we remodel the main bathroom and the kitchen. For kitchen, new granite countertops were installed over the original cabinets as well as new custom backsplash. Both came out great! I must note since Nick custom cut out the space for the cooktop on-site, there are no annoying seams around the cooktop that I have seen in many other homes. Attention to details is definitely Nick's strength. For bathroom, we replace all the plumbing, countertop, vanity mirrors, lights, hardware, and toilet. New wall and floor tiles were also installed. Just like the last project, Nick and his team did an expert job in remodeling the bathroom and we couldn't be happier with the results. Frameless glass door was also installed over the tub that display the wonderful tiles. Nick's price is extremely competitive and his service is the best in the area. He let you use his contractor's discount with the local suppliers where you purchase the materials directly without any markup (and get exactly what you want). Quality of the tile works is truly superb that we are really impressed. His crew cleanup the work area at the end of each day during the project and keep everything neat and clean. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Nick for any kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.

Nick was able to put us in touch with a cabinet maker that matched our cabinets perfect. He and his crew are curteous, and so pleasant! Punctual and reachable. Wish I had another kitchen for him to redo! Tile work, and all are perfect!!! Thanks Nick and all!

Nick and his team did a fantastic job in remodeling two bathrooms. For the master bathroom we replace an old Jacuzzi tub with a new soaking tub. The shower area was completely rebuilt with new tiles and thermostatic shower system. New floor, vanity counter-top and plumbing were installed. The guest bathroom was also rebuilt completely that included floor, shower, vanity counter-top, plumbing and lighting. The entire project was completed in 10 days, exactly as what Nick estimated. Nick is very pleasant to work with and gives excellent suggestion. He is also flexible in accommodating changes encountered during the project. We are very happy with the renovation experience and quality of the work was truly first-class. Nick was fantastic, we would hire him again in a heartbeat. He was extremely professional and reliable, always responding to calls or emails and always checking in when there were issues or decisions to discuss. His work was excellent, and he offered expert guidance while allowing us to go in the design directions that we chose. We are delighted with the outcome of our renovated cottage, it looks amazing!

After our neighbors hired Nick to do some work in their home, I hired him to install a backsplash in our remodeled kitchen. He took out the old tile, fixed the drywall, and put up the new tile and grouted it. It made our new kitchen complete! I loved the experience so much I had Nick come back to do more tile in our foyer and closets. His prices were fair and his work was beyond amazing. He helped make a weird ending on the wall to tile look great and natural. He even recommended a grout color which I think looks perfect. The tile installation in the foyer was fast and looks better than the tile that was there. I would highly recommend Nick for any service. You may have to wait a short time, but it was worth it. I am thinking of more projects to have him come back to do. I have recommended him to all my family and friends as well.

We purchased Nick's bathroom remodel through angies list and were very happy with the results. It was a total remodel, new tile floor, tile shower, vanity and counter top. Nick was very professional and thorough. He always made sure we were happy with everything. I would not hesitate to hire him again. As a matter of fact we are thinking of remodeling our kitchen and will use Nick again if we decide to do so.

It went well, looks good for the most part.

We hired Nick for three jobs as above. Nick himself is very personable and easy to talk to. He or one of his team showed up on time every time and finished the work quickly. However, much of the actual work was done by his team and I fear they may not be as skilled as Nick himself. After 1 and 2 years respectively for each bathroom, our grout has cracked and there are small leaks. While the overall price was fine, in both bathrooms, where was some awkwardness that resulting in us paying more than expected. In the first Job (tub and surround), Nick had offered to honor a coupon purchased through Angie's list. Although he did apply the dollar amount of the coupon, he didn't honor any of its savings. Perhaps I just misunderstood, but I think he could have been much clearer about his policy on this. In the second job, the estimate included the shower door install. At the last minute, he changed it so that the door install was separate, again increasing our price unexpectedly. I didn't wish to argue, so I just paid it. I think it's important to completely clear about all price-related expectations up front and I believe Nick could improve this part of his business. To be fair, even with the misunderstanding, the prices were fine, but for the awkwardness, I had to rate "price" and "professionalism" at "C".

Nick and his crew, Bruno and Luis were conscientious and professional. They took the walls down to studs and built a masterpiece! Very, very happy with the outcome. It took them less than a week to finish. They contracted a drywall pro, Shane who was meticulous and did a great job. Happy with their work and recommended to friends and relatives.

I called Nick and he came to my house the next day on a Saturday morning to look at and quote my bathroom for a full remodel. He had me go to lowes and choose all of my materials. He picked them up and started work on a full remodel 3 weeks after the original conversation. Nick and his working partner were extremely polite and neat. Took one week and a Monday to finish because I chose some materials that were wrong size. Nick returned and exchanged for correct materials no problem. I will be hiring Nick to do my other bathroom and probably a backslash in my kitchen. I do highly recommend.

I purchased the deal on Angie's List. The work was well done and they were neat and clean. The deal allocated $80. for materials, but I bought my own, (tile and grout). They purchased a marble threshold strip for me, which probably cost about $30. Nick agreed to give me the difference towards my purchase of tile, and it hasn't happened yet, but perhaps he will send me a check. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work.

Everything went well, guys were nice and very professional, I'm very happy with the quality of their workmanship and would recommend them to others.

Excellent....would not use anyone else!!!

We had a small master bathroom (5' x 7') completely gutted (including removal of a corner shower stall and linoleum flooring) and remodeled. Unlike some contractors we have used previously, Nick and his crew were a pleasure to work with The major work was installing a tile shower, which ended up being much bigger (approximately 5' x 3') than the shower stall we had originally, and it turned out beautifully. - My wife and I agonized for days over the perfect tile layout, but Nick was able to make our design a reality with expert workmanship and no hassle. - The drain had to be relocated so that it was centered within the new space. Another contractor who had bid indicated he would have to cut through the ceiling on the floor below to complete the task (!). Nick instead obtained access from the bathroom itself by removing the sub-floor, thereby negating the need to repair the ceiling. In addition, he used the opportunity to reinforce the framing to support the poured concrete shower pan. - Nick removed all the drywall and installed cement board in the areas to be tiled. He then used a rubber liner as a waterproofing measure that extended almost one foot up the wall. - After the shower was tiled, he recommended installing a glass wall, which would enclose the shower but still let the beautiful tile work remain visible. In addition, we wouldn't have the cleaning hassles with a sliding door, and this proved to be a perfect solution. Nick also laid a ceramic tile floor in the remaining bathroom space (approximately 5' x 4'), including radiant electric heat underneath. Little electrical work was required, as we already had 220V wired for a baseboard electric heater and wall thermostat. But Nick did the leg work of picking out the required unit and control thermostat . The ceramic tile was laid per our design and matches the tiled shower beautifully The bathroom originally had wallpaper, which my wife and I removed with a steamer prior to Nick initiating the work. Needless to say, some drywall damage resulted, but Nick hired a subcontractor at a reasonable price (about $150) to put a skim coat on the wall. In addition, the original light fixture had no electrical box; the cable was just coming through a big hole in the wall. So the $150 included the drywall guy patching this hole, and Nick installed an electrical box in the perfect location to accept our new light fixture. Once the major work was completed, Nick capped the job by installing the toilet, vanity, sink and corresponding plumbing (including new shutoff valves which he concluded had reached end of life), medicine cabinet, and a towel bar. He also installed the thermostat and then talked me through on the phone how to set it up properly. The only reason he did not install the light fixture is because we didn't have an appropriate one on hand by the time he finished up. In fact, he pointed out that the hanging shades on the original fixture we picked out would prevent light bulb replacement due to interference with the medicine cabinet; other contractors we have used previously would not have been so conscientious. Throughout the 5 or 6 days he was actually on the job, he was always available to answer my questions via call or text. He was always professional and never once got agitated. And you can tell Nick takes pride in his work as his workmanship is top notch, which is saying something since I am a bit of a perfectionist.
