The Contractor working on my remodeling project recommended Mack from MD Hardwoods. I received a quote(based on a piece of 5in Maple sample I left onsite with the contractor) which was higher than what I had budgeted for. I was instructed by the owner, Mack, to go visit the showroom and told that selecting red oak flooring would keep me within budget. I, reluctantly, did just that and the price he quoted was higher. When I questioned the difference of price and product Mack was extremely difficult, defensive, then proceeded to be verbally abusive. I ordered and paid for 5 oak heat vents ($50 ea) that inlay...4 were installed and I have had no success getting the 5th from Mack. It was a horrible experience overall! I did not want Mack back in my house to sand and finish the flooring, so I had Finger Lakes Hardwoods do it. They were outstanding..professional,polite, and grateful for my business.
