"We were called to the Member's house because their a/c wasn't cooling. I sent my technician their and what he found was the system was empty of refrigerant. The homeowner noticed that the outside unit had been moved or shoved, she told my technician that it appears to have been tampered with. The homeowner and my technician came to the conclusion that someone hit it either with their dirt bike or a lawn mower of some sort. Because there was a leak reguardless of what happened we Had to find it. The warranty on Goodman covers the equipment not our time so we had to fill the system with refrigerant and inject a die to locate the leak. After coming over to there house numerous times to find the leak we finally noticed it in the coil. My technician going by what the homeowner said about someone tampering with the unit figured that Goodman wouldn't issue a new coil because it wasn't their fault so we agreed on a price to fix it. In the meantime I called my rep and they said it would be covered under warranty and when I called them back to tell them that we would do it for free they denied our service and took it upon them selves to hire someone else. As far as the other company's: if it's true or not talking bad about our company; that unfortunately is this cut throat business that I'm in.. Other companies love to down play one another to get the job, we do not under bid other companies because how do we know what every one Else charges, homeowners never give us that information... Every homeowner always looks for the best deal and that's why you get three bids. The homeowner choose us we didn't chose them... I'm sick and tired of other company's bad mouthing each other and I think it needs to stop. To me it's just gossip.The money that the Members want back I feel is inappropriate.. We were going to install the coil for free but they choose to go elsewhere and that is on them. I feel that they should pay us for all the time we spent there and for all the material we used for the 3 times we were their..I'm sorry that this had to go this far and I have know problem with losing them as a customer and I have no problem with installing a new coil. In the 6 years we have been in business we have maintained a A rating through the better business bureau and that speaks louder then words.. Thank you, DC"
