This seems like a lot of money, but we did have various estimates from recommended plumbers on Angie's list and no one would install radiant heat in an already existing addition. So, a comparison in price of the whole job is impossible.  However, the price without the radiant heat was comparable. The radiant heat  was installed in a 22 x24 ft area with only a 3 to 4 ft crawl space.  One of the plumbers said we would need 2 boilers to have a zoned system. This entire job took 3 days and we were never without heat.  He was
prompt, clean and everything was carted away.  He was very professional
and personable.  He arranged for the inspection by Con Ed and insured that everything met standards.  We have since used him to change a shower head and a kitchen faucet. I would highly recommend him. My sister has used him as well.  He changed her system from oil to gas and this involved putting in a new boiler.  She was very satisfied. 

He is doing the work now.  He comes out at eight o'clock in the morning.  He is giving me a free heating zone.  He is honest.  I have had all the plumbers come in.  He told us we needed two boilers and many other stuff.  He was neat and clean.  He took his time and did an excellent job.  I don't know about plumbing, but I can see the work that he did.  I don't think I would find anybody cheaper.
