It went well.

He was terrific. We have recommended him to some of our friends. We have had a lot of work done on our house and I would 100% recommend him for a lot of reasons. He showed up when he was supposed to. He worked 5 days. He was just really wonderful to work with. He told us that the major bulk of the work would take about four months and it took within that time. We're talking about major stuff! We took down walls, gutting the entire ground floor, gutting the kitchen, moving a bathroom. You name it, we did it. We had some other things that came later because of ordering the kitchen, and that kind of thing. If we had any complaints, he always really listened to our complaints and really addressed them. He is very honorable. We referred him to a friend who lived in a co-op and they had a lot of trouble trying to get it approved. They had given him a deposit and apparently they decided to switch because it was so much trouble, not because of him, and he was great about it. A few months back, we called him about a siding issue. We asked him for some referrals. He doesn't do small jobs, he is a big contractor. He started off with a fairly small job in the basement and that is why we decided to use him. He came when he said he was going to come, he was on time, he was respectful and he finished the job without a lot of gaps; meaning that we have had contractors who have come, and then you don't see them for weeks on end. He came almost every single day. We started in September and the bulk of it was finished in January. We had other things that had to be finished, like the finishing touches, the kitchen cabinets, but that wasn't because of him. He was working with various people and I have to say that the electrician was a problem for us. I am not sure that he is still working with that electrician and he did listen to our concerns about it. I would him again 100% and I would absolutely recommend him highly. We had contacted other contractors and had one that we were interested in but he didn't have his own crew so that meant it would have taken twice as long; and I have heard that from a lot of people. Richie really got the job done and he got it done in a timely fashion. He was very honest about how long it would take him and he stuck to it very closely, which is very unusual in my experience. Over the years we have had other contractors and they don't show up, some of the quality was very good and some of the quality was very poor, they wouldn't address our issues; we have had it all. I think he was very unusual in that way. A lot of people have come by and complimented the work that was done here. They tell us how nice it looks.
