"On 9/30/2013 this member states that she had work done at our shop a year and half prior, but gives the work completed date as 7/16/2009 which is 4 years prior. Actually she had not been to our shop since 5/15/2008 when she came in with her 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. On that day she received an oil change only. She had been to our shop prior to that day with another vehicle, a 1986 Mercury Cougar on 2/10/2003 when she received a NYS Inspection. Before that was 1/29/2002 when she received a NYS inspection and before that on 1/23/2002 she received an oil change. Before that was her first time at King Bear when she received an oil change. We strive to provide excellent customer service and provide our customers and NYS DMV with exact records of all visits. There is no way she could have received an inspection sticker from us as she claims without there being a record of it with NYS DMV. We have checked all of our records and have no listing of any visits except the ones we have provided. We do not like to hear of ANY repair shop mistreating their customers as it reflects on our industry as a whole. However King Bear of Lindenhurst is not responsible for what this member is claiming. NYS DMV very carefully regulates vehicle inspections and King Bear is a licensed Inspection Station which means every inspection is recorded with DMV whether it is a pass or fail. Again, there is no record of this member having an inspection in our shop since 2003. At that point there was a different owner as we took over in 2005. Since then we have maintained a stellar record with NYS DMV, our customers, town and all regulatory agencies.
