FLOOR CREATIONS

Floor Creations Destroyed my new oak floors.  I?m writing this review because I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. Although he came highly recommended my husband and I were amazed at what they did to our floors.  First- He insisted on being paid in full before we could see the floors and when my husband asked for some kind of invoice or receipt  he said he doesn?t give them for cash payments.    Second-They put divots all over the house even a big gouge in our main entrance to our kitchen. Third -they didn't allow the stain to dry properly before putting on the polyurethane coat so you see brush marks and light and dark uneven color throughout the house.  They said they could fix this by tinting the polyurethane with stain (something I?m now told by another flooring company you should never do because it makes the floor never dry correctly)Plus it didn?t work the floor color is all over the place and you can see brush marks and sanding swirls. Fourth- the polyurethane is gritty not smooth as if sand was thrown on it. When I told him how unhappy we where and that he was going to have to redo the floors he laughed at me and told me it wasn't a big deal that he could come in and fix them with a light sanding.  Because I no longer trusted this man I brought in two flooring companies who told me the floors have to be totally redone. When I told him this and that he really didn't understand how bad the floors where he went into a rant, yelling at me! I would never let Floor Creations back into my home under any circumstances.  My husband and I have contacted Consumer Affairs. We have called Floor Creations many times asking for a receipt and they will not give us one.
