Very professional, got the project completed on time and well within budget. The completed job was beautiful, and I would them again if the occasion arises.

Received a number of bids for asphalt driveway and a paver walkway. Mike was the lowest quote, and 30% lower than some of the higher bids. Price was very good. He went through a lot of the options with me, though tends to speak a bit quickly, so we did have some miscommunication on one issue, but we were able to resolve. Not a large operation, but crew was always respectful and polite. Work came out very nice and gets compliments from neighbors. Took a little longer to get started than I expected, but once they really started they made quick progress, and knew what they were doing. The final result looks great and gets numerous compliments.

Work was performed in a timely manner with professionalism. The finished product was the desired outcome. After work was completed they performed a cleanup. I would hire them again for future work. cost $7,000

This job did not go well. Mike and his team came and redid our concrete sidewalk and in the process of this they damaged two sprinkler lines that we had to have repaired. We reached out to Mike several times about the cost to fix the sprinkler heads and he kept saying he will come and drop off the money for what it cost us to repair the lines and he never shows or calls. He always has some excuse, it is very unprofessional and not how you run a business. Today we noticed one of the concrete slabs has a crack across the slab, this job is 5 weeks old and should not be cracking. It is poor workmanship. Mike contradicts what he says he is going to do and what he does. They take on too many jobs and don't focus enough on the job at hand. It is very disappointing that we spent all this money for a very poor job and no response from Mike.

Tom came to us quickly and got started pretty fast. Seemed great, kept asking him about schedule for payment and contract and he told me not to worry. Ripped out driveway and steps, added a support for the drain for $1,200. Asked for half the money. I did not contact him for a week as it rained. Contacted him the following week and he said materials would be delivered not later than two days after our conversation. My check has been cashed. He has not returned text, phone calls to his cell and his office staff who seemed sure he was ok ( i asked) but have not heard from him. They sent him two messages on my behalf and he has not returned my calls. I estimate my overpayment to him to be about $3,800. You can imagine I've lost faith by now. It's been over a week since he's communicated with us He had time to cash my check.

I have pictures galore of this horrible job! There’s waves and rough spots all over! The concrete joints they fixed are cracked and already some broke! The other joints are either nice(only a couple) but the rest are done so sloppy! The asphalt where it meets the road was not tarred/ sealed. When my father asked the owner of this company about the end of the driveway and all the rough spots. The man said “ you no worry about such silly little things”! And when the owner of company was paid in full and was asked for our receipt, he said “ he needed time to write it out” that he would be back the next day with the receipt and to fix the bottom of driveway “free of charge” and has not come back , nor has he even attempted to contact us! We just had a brand new white PVC fence installed and the left the fence covered in asphalt and the front patio covered with pieces of asphalt! My mother had to go out after they left and scrub the fence! And sweep up all the loose asphalt left scattered all over!! My mother hired this man because of angies list! Because this company had great reviews!!! This company as far as I’m concerned is not a perfectionist as the reviews say! As as I say a fly by night company, who made a quick buck off a older lady!!! I just hope this is posted so other woman don’t get robbed the same way!!! Not to mention my mother writes everything down and had agreed to pay him a certain amount. She gave him half the cash upfront and like I said she writes everything down. When he came to finish job she asked me (her daughter) to ask him what she owed him? Because she was working and didn’t wanna go get her book! So when I asked him he told me a price about $400 higher then what she remembered!!! And then told her she was wrong and wrote price down wrong! And at the end of all that, made her pay $100 more then the original price!!!! I prey no one else will be treated this way!!!!

Overall excellent craftsmanship

The owner, Tom, was very easy to work with. He explained what the project would entail and offered suggestions. He promptly answered any questions or concerns we had. Work was completed on time and we love our finished project! I would definitely hire Tom again and would recommend him to family and friends.

The project went very well, Tom ( the owner) is quite meticulous with his work, went over the estimate with us step by step, detail oriented and gave us great advice on finishes. The finished product looks amazing, we are very happy. Tom has stopped by a few times after completing the work to make sure we didn't have any issues post construction . They were professional and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend them, and I will use them again.

We had gotten several estimates on paving the driveway, but very few of the contractors could tell us when they could start. Our project included putting in a dry well which 5 star could install, but which many of the other contractors wanted to sub contract out. Tom was very specific about when he would start and when he would finish. I was pleased with his understanding of the project and his ability to communicate his ideas on how things should be done. We had Belgian blocks bordering the driveway which were picked up and re-set beautifully. I was particularly impressed by how responsive he was; he got back to me each time I called him with questions. The asphalt looks beautiful and consists of three inches; many of the other contractors were offering two inches. I would recommend him to friends and use him again.

He was great. He was very considerate and helpful. He showed up when he said he would.
