Very well. Upon examining the chimney, Mr. Kreider recommended a rebuild, which he would not be able to do this year. He said he could replace the crumbling mortar and put cement around the chimney to make it safe. I considered it but asked if there was something temporary that could be done instead. He offered to wrap the chimney with wire mesh which would stabilize it, and do a rebuild in the spring. I was pleased with the solution and happy that his son Mike accomplished the task soon afterward.

The work performed was great. I'm very happy with the work. Everyone was very nice and Jonathon explained everything they were going to do.

The work was done in a very professional and timely manner. We are very satisfied and happy with the result. No more leaks from the chimney!

Mr. Kreider replied to our phone call right away and gave us an estimate based on pictures we provided. He showed up less than a week later and did the job for exactly the price he quoted us.

Basically, they responded to my first phone call and email and then stopped responding completely to ALL further inquiries/ follow up questions. They wouldn't give me a quote and couldn't get to the work for 7 months from when I called. I presume this means they have too much business and don't want anymore.

They were the best contractor I have ever hired. They were very professional and they helped more than they needed to. They did a very clean job and most of all it was very fast and done correctly. I cannot thank these guys enough and when I need another repair they will be the first and only one I call.

It was a pleasure working with Johnathan from start to finish. He returned my call the same day I called, came out the next day and gave me an price by e-mail the following day. After checking some comparative pricing data for similar work, we accepted his proposal. As it was January, he said that he would call me when the weather forecast was good enough to do the work. That turned out to be the following day! He and his son came out the next day, started at 8:00 am and completed the work by noon. In addition to building up a new crown and sealing the flashing, they inspected the inside of the chimney using a camera, and showed me and explained exactly what they were seeing, and the options for fixing the problems. Johnathan was very courteous and professional throughout, and I would not hesitate to have him do more work for me.

We were extremely pleased with the work done by Kreider Masonry. They returned calls promptly, showed up when they said they would, explained all the work, were patient while we found the perfect matching bricks :-) , and most importantly did great work. You cannot tell the old portion from the new portion. They gave us options, and even saw something on our roof/gutter that needed fixing and recommended someone. Pricing was in line with other quotes. Would definitely recommend!

Great service from start to finish. Jonathan and his son were as professional as I have ever seen. They did exactly what they said they would, exactly when they said they would and at the exact price they said they would. With the exception of my new chimney crown, there was no evidence they were ever there...amazing clean up. This is the guy to call.

I had a badly deteriorated chimney in need of some repair work at one of my rental properties.  Jonathan was one of the first contractors I called and was very prompt in getting back to me.  I explained the issues and he went out to look at the chimney within the next couple of days and provided an email estimate along with a detailed description of the work to be done.  I spent the next month (!) trying to get additional estimates to compare.  His estimate was very close to the others, just slightly higher.  However, I felt that Jonathan was most knowledgeable and would provide the highest quality repair.  While I'm a landlord and I like to minimize expenses, I also know that a cheap repair that goes bad in a couple of years is far more costly.
Jonathan was easy to work with and explained everything that was going on when I visited during the repair.  Because the extent of repairs wasn't as much as he though, he discounted the estimate ~$250.  I took some before and after shots of the chimney with a zoom lens and it's clear that it is a solid, quality repair.  I should be good for many, many years.

I called Jonathan the day before the 4th of July and he came over that evening and gave me an estimate on the spot. He indicated he would be able to do the job within a month. We had contracted another company out the previous year and after 11 months of promises and excuses we fired them and moved on. The job was completed within a months time and he did a beautiful job, retaining the integrity of the home. I would highly recommend him and would use him again in an instant.

I called Mr. Kreider regarding my brick chimney. The top of the chimney had begun to deteriorate. Mr. Kreider was very prompt about returning my call. He came within a few days and climbed up on my roof to assess the damage. He was very knowledgeable and was very good at explaining what was going on and what need to be done. I received a written estimate and a time frame as to when he could do the work. After receiving a couple more estimate, I called Mr. Kreider and asked him to do the job. Within the time frame promised, Mr. Kreider called and said he would be there the next day to do the job. He showed up when he said and completed the job in a half a day. The chimney looked great. He had matched the brick and the original work beautifully. We have since gone through a winter using the chimney and found no problems. The appears to be no further deterioration from the heavy winter snow. Mr. Kreider is a very trustworthy business man and very skilled at his trade.

They showed up right on time! Got right to work and let my yard spotless. I even got a lesson in 'pointing!' I forgot to ask for a written invoice though and would still like one if possible. The work was done on the top of my chimney so I couldn't see the end results and should have asked for pictures to see what the final results were but you live and learn! Overall, a good experience and would recommend them!

It went great. he came to give me an estimate on a rainy day. Two days later I received his typed up estimate int eh mail. I signed and returned it and within a week the work was completed.

My existing masonry chimney cap was too thin. The freeze/thaw cycle was gradually breaking it apart and compromising my chimney. Kreider came out and replaced it with a nice and thick version. I was able to work with them over the phone to provide the info and schedule a service date.
On the date of service, I came home from work to find the was done perfectly. No mess and no hassle. Just a very solid fiber reinforced masonry chimney cap.

Professional and honest, from start to finish. Owner even took time to talk to me over the phone, for a good 15 minutes about questions I had about additional work we are currently considering. Quality work and friendly service.
