Construct 1 Story Front Addition, Garage Conversion and
Interior Alterations with Relocation of Kitchen.
I am writing this letter to reflect our high satisfaction
with all the work performed by Colonial Construction Co, Inc. and its
subcontracted support professionals.
The owners Mike and John were always a pleasure to work with and
extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of construction and the other trades
groups. They stayed true to their
initial quote for the job and coordinated all aspects of this major home
improvement to be on schedule. This
remodel consisted of kitchen relocation, demolition, framing, electrical and
plumbing upgrades and additions, flooring and backsplash tile, 18ft. of quartz
countertop and island, radiant heat throughout kitchen and washroom, and
cabinet & appliance installation.
Also, 3 new Anderson casement windows (6?, 4? and 7?) across the front
of the house with new vinyl siding were added to give a fresh appearance. A new roof peak was added to the kitchen area
to match the front façade.
Not only did John or Mike show up each day of construction
to check up on progress and guidance; but also looked at the little things that
needed to be done to make the outcome go from a great job to spectacular. Their attention to detail and not let things
get missed is what made my wife and I glad we selected Colonial Construction.
To better understand the scope of the job (a major
reconstruction) you must realize we went from a 10?x10? dining area (original
Levitt kitchen) and kitchen 7?x20? (originally a breezeway between the garage),
to 17?x20? kitchen with a 9?x13? wash/storage room behind and off the kitchen a
new arched dining area.
It should be said that the quote by Colonial matched the
lowest bid we received of the five contractors.
Still I couldn?t believe anyone would have done a better job.
Sincerely,
Bernard & Deborah Restivo
