I called Specks contracting on or about the middle of August 2012 to ask about an estimate for a new roof. I got a call back within a day and made arrangements to have someone come to our house. It was a few days later that Mike Spizowski came over to give our estimate. We also talked about siding and he said he could give us an 'approximate' estimate for the siding as he generally wasn't the one that did that. We understood it was subject to change. He gave us an approximate estimate for both roofing and siding, and said he would be back with the contract and samples of shingles and siding. He was very friendly, personable and seemed very knowledgeable. About a week later he came back with the contract and shingle samples. He said he would have to come back again with the siding samples as he didn't have any at the time. He also said he had to go away with his father for the Labor Day weekend, so he would get back to us the following Tuesday. (Sept 4) We were happy with the estimate and wanted them for the roofing job. We were still undecided about the siding at that time but had a few days to decide. Sept 4 came & went & we did not hear anything back. I knew Mike was busy as he said they had a lot of work lined up so I just figured he was running behind. After approximately 2 weeks and still hearing nothing I called Specks and left a message saying we were still waiting on siding samples and to please give us a call. It is now October 17th and we have not even received a phone call back from Mike or anyone else representing Specks. I am extremely disappointed. This is beyond bad customer service and in my opinion totally unacceptable.
