George's Market & Nursery

Blew-off appointment and wasted my time! We live in a nice neighborhood, are planning to sell the house, and want to replace old landscaping that we’ve already removed and we need to replace that, landscape around our pool and need landscaping in some other areas. We heard good things about George’s so stopped last weekend just to get the ball rolling. We met with a pleasant guy named George and he made an appointment to come to our home to discuss things further. He originally scheduled to be here yesterday after they closed, but called me to say he forgot about a birthday party and asked if we could reschedule for tonight. I said “sure, no problem, things happen, see you tomorrow some time around 6:30/7:00-ish. Right now it’s going on 8:00 and there’s no sight or sound from him. I need to note if I would ‘hire them again’. I can’t hire them if they DON’T show up! But I would leave the door open to maybe hire them IF THEY SHOW UP!! I don’t get it. A no show deserves ZERO stars.

=This is our third year getting our tree and trimmings from Georges.  Our usual experience is that it is pricey, but worth it.  This year, not so much - the tree did not take water after the first day or so and the wreath dried out so quickly.  We also purchased some firewood that was pricey - but burned well.  I think it's the staff at George's that makes me want to go back year after year - they are so helpful and plainly happy to have your business.  That being said, if our tree next year is like the one this year, it will be our last from there.

They are a really good company and they great people. They are competitively priced for the market and they are just so easy to work with and so convenient. The wood is usually very, very good.
