Description of Work: I hired Janko M. Zdrilic to build my new house in Greenwich, CT. I purchased an existing home in November of 2008 on 3 acres of land. I retained Janko Zdrilic to demolish the existing home on the property, perform all of the necessary site work, and build my new 7,000sf house. Janko Zdrilic performed the services of a General Contractor, hiring sub-contractors to perform much of the work (demolition, excavation, foundations, framing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, etc.). Janko Zdrilic managed all of the sub-contractors, phasing them in and out of the project at the appropriate times. Janko Zdrilic also handled all of the zoning and permit processes with the Town of Greenwich….they can be very difficult at times, but Janko maintained great communication with them throughout the construction phase, helping to expedite our certificate of occupancy. In addition to managing all of the sub-contractors, we hired Janko Zdrilic to do all of our exterior and interior painting for the house. He has a crew of 4-5 guys painting our exterior shingles, trim and moldings, then they moved to the interior of the house and painted all of our rooms, including faux finishing in my office (looks great!) and all moldings throughout. Although Janko Zdrilic was hired to be our General Contractor, overseeing the work of his sub-contractors, we found that he, along with his Project Manager, were very hands-on, assisting the subs with a good portion of the build-out.
