Jim helped me to start draining the basement, roughly 575SF of affected area w/ 4" of standing water, left a hose with me for a submersible pump to continue the work and inspected the burst pipe.  He inspected the HW tank and boiler to ensure there was no additional damage and stuck around until I turned the main back on ensuring the affected pipe had been bypassed correctly. Jim provided me with the name (New Crystal Restoration) and phone number for restoration and to contact him when we would like to get the pipe moved and insulated appropriately in the spring.  Based on his response, assistance and level of knowledge (and neighbor's reviews of his work) we will have Jim come back to do the work.

They have been great; they have been very responsive, very knowledgeable. I am a mechanical engineer so I can understand the kind of work he does. So when I speak to him I can tell that he knows what he is doing.

He is absolutely awesome. He is the kind of guy that remembers my name when I call and remembers the house when he comes over. He doesn't overdo his work and is conservative with his approach. If there is a problem, he is quick to bring it to my attention. He is very honest and has my best interest in mind.

They were wonderful and did a great job. They were on time. They did it in a short period.

Jim has done too many different plumbing and heating jobs in our home for me to list. One recent example was last fall, when I asked him to do his annual check of our heating system before the cold weather set in. He showed up on time and did the work quickly and efficiently.

I called Jim and we set an appointment for him to come look at my leaking faucet. (It was leaking out of the handle and also would not stop dripping from the spout.) He came out at the exact time that he said he would be there, diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes, went to a speciality store to buy the part he needed and replaced it within an hour. The parts and labor were ~$162 for this job. While he was fixing this, I bombarded him with tons of other questions that I had about plumbing, and as a semi-new homeowner I was full of them: including questions about the types of pipes we have in our house and also questions about lead in water, how to test and also how to fix. He took me downstairs and showed me the water main, where it comes in to the house and confirmed for me that it was copper piping, since this had come up with my lead in water questions. He also talked to me about possible filtrations systems, both ones that I could install and also more complicated ones that he could do for me, if I was genuinely concerned about lead. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He also did not mind that I was asking him so many other questions that did not apply to the job that he was getting paid for. I will definitely use him again and could not recommend him any higher. He was great.

He came and diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem. He did a good job so the pump is not nearly as loud as what it was. He came out the next day after I had called him.

Discovered that my water heater was leaking early sunday morning. I immediately went to Angies list and looked up plumbing contractors.
Placed a call to Larchmont Plumbing leaving them a message to contact me first thing Monday morning, as I was not going to be home all day sunday.
They called me at 8:00 am. monday morning and were at my home by 9:00 am. They then explained the costs to me for replacement, and surprised me by telling me that the actual cost of the unit was covered and the only cost to me would be shipping and labor charges.
I told them to proceed with the job and they were complete by 12 noon.

He kept on budget and on schedule. I would definitely use him again. He seems to be the best guy for this type of job. He does very high-quality work.
